this is for a 90 acura integra ls no abs 5spd :so i needed a passenger axle and i went to advance and the axle i had didnt match with the one they had, the grooves on the spine going towards the tranny on the old axle has a full spine and the advance auto only had half of a spine but everything else seems too look ok, so i matched it up with a driver side axle, and the looked identical ,so i bought the driveer side, the problem is when i was done putting it in and took it for a drive it dont want to make a full turn ...also i replaced my cable ls tranny with a 92-93 integra ys1 cable tranny(gsr,b16), im not sure if they have identical axles, and i know the driver side axle and passenger axle has to be differnet. and i jacked my car up and let the wheels spin freely to see if it was my tranny but it passed.. so my question is was the advance passenger axle the right one ?(jus a newer spine look) or is the a difference ls vs. gsr/b16 axles?, or did i go wrong somewhere when putting in the ys1 tranny? thanks ia i know its kinda confusing

if i understand right you bought 90-91 axles and tried to use em on your 92-93 ys1 transmission?
90-91 axles are different than 92-93 im pretty sure
you need to go get 92-93 ls axles

when i pulled mines off they both look the same and the ones i have on now and before look like the first one, so did i have the wrong axles on the passenger side? because it rode perfect before when i jus had the cable ls tranny

I dont really understand wheat youre saying about it not turning. Im not sure about the "half spline" thing either. Never heard that. But I can shed light on the axles.
All 90-01 passenger axles are the same.
All 90-93 drivers axles are the same. Only difference is the abs ring. Those can be easily removed.

if u have abs and u use a non abs one then tthats a problem, but if dont ahve abs and u use a abs axle it doesnt matter

hmm, knocked it in all the way? if the axle is off even by a little bit, then there can be a problem.

it goes in all the way but it has alot of play in it sliding back and fourth, thats why i was wondering if the inner shaft is suppose to be 1/2 or the full length, looks like the full length is the axle of the passenger side

god i should know this by now, ive done the same thing, i think the one on the top is the pass side(full spline) and the half spline is the driver.

Are you saying that after you tighten the outer nut you can move the axle back and forth within the hub?? Like slide it in and out??

If youre able to move the axle within the hub, that means the splines are too long. The nut should bottom out on the wheel bearing before it hits the axle its self. The nut is what keeps your wheel bearing from coming apart. Which ultimately means, they gave you the wrong axle.
And in the pic above, Im gonna say the top one is the drivers side and the lower is the passenger. If you look at the half shaft, it as well has the half spline. The smooth part is where the seal rides. So half spline for the half shaft (right) and half spline for the pass (left).

what he said..
and to the genius who says abs and non abs are waayy different axles theyre not that different.. the difference is a small ring on the outer part of the axle that the abs wheel speed sensor reads of of, a non abs axle will work in an abs car, it will just throw an abs light..
i personally buy all my axles from bumper to bumper.. and i always ask for NEW axles, not reman..
