I'm going to pick up my new-used car... Kinda highjacked the '74 Datsun thread so I figured I'd start mah own.

'74 2k2
I'm so excited about this I can't stand it. Rust on the hood is surface rust. Lower airdam... well gonna need some more love. Rust free everywhere else. I swear the body is practically dent-free

Still need to vacuum it out and wash/wax it about 20 more times to get everything, but not bad for 1.5 hours and a bucket of water...

I not sure the camera really show what shade of Dukes of Hazzard orange this car really is... LOL

Only a 5 digit odo, so probably 120/220

My 240z has 10598 on the Odo at the moment, and would be worth quite a few more pennies if those were all the miles it had.

LOL awesome pic Scotty.

Yes it's staying the factory color. Yes, the Odo has rolled once, it's @ 120-ish. I am the third owner and have the contact info on for both owners. Was running when it was parked ten years ago...

However I will have to add twice as many stickers to the Bimmer. It needs all the Hp it can get, and everyone knows stickers = 50Hp's each

Looks like a great start for an '02 project. Be sure to check the pedal box, which is under the fuel, brake and clutch pedals; they are very prone to rust. Also, I'm guessing the rear shock towers are in good shape? They *can* be replaced if there's rust, but it's pretty major surgery.

I have an e21 3.91 open diff, if you want one for the 5-speed conversion.

Have you found bmw2002faq (http://www.bwm2002faq.com)? I found it somewhat helpful when I was entertaining restoring a '76 '02. I really should have hung on to that car. There will be another...one day.
