Ahhh much better. May I recommend an E46 M3 competition package steering wheel to replace that one. Throwing one in mine and I just love the more modern look and how much it actually looks like it came with it

pointless. I never use my 18-button OBC unless it notifies me that a bulb went out. You can't make an E36 look modern....

I would love to do that. However I have an E36 M3 wheel that I got for free :) I will install that.

Too many interior lights going on? What do you mean? I have no 'extra' lights. Just all the OEM stuff... The key is just on so every dash light is on. Then I pushed the temp button to get the 18 button OBC to light up.

It has lots of useful features. Range, consumption and distance. You can use googlemaps and it says 220 miles. Enter 220 miles into the OBC and it will tell you your arrival time assuming your current speed...

I reset consumption 2 at the track and see what I average at the track! That is fun.

Kind of...You could argue both ways. I've got S54 M coupe gagues, E46 M3 Alcantera steering wheel, i'm re-doing my headliner in black suede and paired with H.I.D's, the car not only looks sick but almost like it is much newer then it is. I'm really excited to see how it turns out as i've seen a friends with some of the parts and it looks really cool. It's sort of equivalent of lots of really good plastic surgery for a nice MILF
Plus it's got dual zone climate control and one touch everything. Something Z06's what...just got in 06-07

+1. Couldn't agree with you more. Almost every tank I do the math for my fuel consumption and I miss being able to just click a button. Plus I miss seeing my avg speed and Range as I am on the highway LOTS

Maybe I am just odd. But I quit caring about/watching fuel consumption a long time ago, and I drive 2000 miles a month with very little highway... Plus the fuel consumption is way inaccurate since I swapped in the S52. It never reads below 26 mpg and you guys know that isn't possible the way I drive.

It's a game for me. I'd have the new Diesel 335 or X5 if I had the money for sure. Best DD's ever if you ask me. From traveling abroad and renting Diesels I just loveee trying to see how much gas mileage I can achieve. On the autbahn I was getting about 28mpg doing 170km/h in an Audi Diesel with 5 people and luggage. That's just cool if you ask me. I did 425 miles in my car with the cams and all driving to New Orleans going 80-90 the entire time. Try and being that without a range telling you when your going to run out.

You bought Jonathan's wheels? Geesh.
I am thinking of bypassing the last 2 and going straight to crazy. IE 17x10 rear fitment...

17x10 is not that crazy. Me an Jonathan tried his 10.5" BBS RS on my car one day, it looked like it would fit fine with the proper stretch.

DinanM3atl
02-12-2009, 11:27 PM
Dude please. How many e36 do you know of with 10" wide wheels? Pretty close to zero. And your not running them so that means 1 more person to say "That looks like it will fit" and then not install tires and see... So I would say it is pretty crazy. Sure they may have fit, depends on the offset.

An interior mod that no one can spot is useless? How so?

It barely made a change Alex. Of course it would be hard to spot. Someone that didn't even know BMW e36 would maybe NEVER notice it.

Definitely take out that stuff. Save barely any weight and lower the value of your car more. Remove the seat too. I thought you want to sell it? You should be fixing the damage and installing EVERYTHING back in and then think about selling it.

I will let Magnum fix the damage. As of now my car is not officially for sale, I do not really want to sell it till I can atleast make a few more runs down the 1320', perhaps even with some nitrous. I wanted to spray it, but this accident cut into my nitrous money....If someone offered me 11k they could take it now. Oh and when me and Jonathan tried the 10.5"s he had tires on them. I forget what width, but they were 45 profile.

No pics, car was lowered down. Idk offset. I didn't get them because his had the smaller face than I liked. I am starting to not like multipiece wheels anymore, they are getting played out in the bimmer scene... I am liking single piece, lightweight and or concave wheels now...

I don't think 11k is too unreasonable, I have been offered that before... Seems like locals would buy the car just because it is "known". I meet so many random people that recognize my car from places...

02-13-2009, 12:11 AM
I see nothing wrong with $11k for Alex's car, as long as it had the interior and trunk pieces, etc re-installed. But I'm sure some people probably prefer it stripped, just not for me :)

My '97 with 114k sold for $10.5k stock (+ another $800-900 of stuff I kept and sold).

Nah. The actually cool and classic design multipiece wheels are still nice. They cheap and crappy and replica ones are getting played out quick!

Concave has always been pimping.

Oh I know... all cars have. That is the reason I want to get into a Z06. The E36 m3 is fun but I am so bored with the e36 platform in general after driving them for 3 years and owning four... I want to try something completely new, and something that can be made faster for cheaper... but still looks good.

Road Atlanta is toooo expensive. Isn't the first DE $470+ my gas to get there and the gas used, plus a hotel to stay at, plus food, and if I break anything/tires/brakes? That looks like an expensive-ass weekend to me. I have "drag raced" many times in this car and it has never been boring. The car doesn't excite me any more when I drive it so I want something else. The simple fact that person X can run the same car faster then person Y. I enjoyed getting a better time then any magazine stock, or better times then I could find with someone with the same mods. Once that's achieved it's pretty boring though..even with 500hp.
It's incomparable to even autocross which is no where near the thrill of road racing. However, it's entertaining though. Better than doing nothing.

I did a 13.9 with Wanli tires in 49 degree weather and 98,000 on the odometer. I really never saw the car and driver 13.9 so it's hard to say if I bested it but most people say 14.2-14.3.. It was a 13.94@99 though with a 1.9 60ft. Then with just a flywheel and exhaust a 13.6@100. That felt good. Haha then I did 13.8's with no back left rear shock!!
