SRT8 Vs. SHELBY GT

Well i havnt had ne runs in a while and i was sittin talkin to a friends at walmart last nite when someone came through with a shelby gt and reved as they passed. i returned the rev and they pulled over and asked if i would like to run. i said sure, and asked the stipulations. suprisingly they wanted a dig. he said my car launches hard! lol! i asked what mods it had and it was intake, exhaust only. Long story short we did 3 dig runs 1/4 mile and i always won by about 4-6 car lengths. after the race he was cool and just gave me props, he had no clue what srt8 meant lol!

shelby gt is just the same as a gt just stupid stuff body , paint , short throw shifter intake and polish intake ,valve covers....still a 14.0 sec car

Ya they are rated at 315hp and there mid 13 sec cars not 14. When my stang had intake exhaust only I ran a 13.4 @104

Nice run. Stock GT's can do mid 13's but they only trap around 100, which would explain the defeat. So many people claim ohh blah this guy ran a 13.2@103 stock when it's just 1 out of 100,000 that can pull that off. I've never seen a stock one do better than 13.8@101 and I think Nemesis on here only managed mid 13's@104 with intake/exhaust/tune.

13.6, that is a mid 13. and like i said with just a intake and exhaust i ran a 13.4 after underdrives a tune and gears i did 13.0. then i went turbo.

ur right. the avg driver is a 13.7-13.9 but many good drivers have seen 13.5-13.7.

Yeah mine started out as a show car. Engine bay is all carbon fiber and billet and a lot of billet and leather in the interior. Performance wise just slp catback, cai, predator tuner with stage1 cmr tune. Have longtubes and a cam going in next month. Stone blue huh? You don't have tinted tails do you? I saw a stone blue at the mall of ga and Alpharetta within 2 days that had tinted tails and a srt/c sticker on the back.

No I have black windows with srt on the front 2 and blue center spokes on each wheel. N I think the color is Steele blue. Stone might have been wrong. With those mods you will def be quick from a roll.

Shit you right it is steel blue. I love that color; I would have got it on my car, but didn't come for the srt8 charger until '08
