Can somone indicate where the timing pointer is at on this timing cover on the b20b please?

EDIT: Had to resize the picture so u guys can have better view

Well not from this distance, but there should be a lil arrow marked on the cover and if all else fails pull the cover off and you'll see the arrow marked on the oil pump :thinking:

i did look at it but i dont see any arrow figure but right above where u pointed i see this long line

That could possibly be it :thinking: , but yea I would double check on the oil pump just to make sure :D

Well if it is then my ignition timing is way off. Cus the pointer isnt pointing at any degree based on what i see with the timing light.

That's why I said that you can look at the oil pump to make sure or double check yourself :thinking:


And you do know which marker on the crank pulley to go by right :thinking:

yes 16 degrees or -/+ 2 degrees. I dont want to go thru the trouble of removing the other half of the timing cover just to see where the mark is at...

that is it. you either have the timing light on the wrong plug wire or you're a tooth off. both will put the timing 20-30* off.

pull #1 plug and put a long screwdriver and rotate the crank to verify tdc. then put plugs/wires back on and shoot timing again.
