I hate shaving!

I use a Remington Triple blade. I can't remember the model, but I used to work for Spectrum Brands and got it for free. It retailed for just over $120 or so.

All say that they are the best, but I'll tell you now after trying A LOT of them (and I can get a thick beard rather quickly):

Panasonic ES807x electric shavers. I know that you first think, "Panasonic? Really?"

Yes, really. When I bought mine, they had the ES8075/76/77s, etc. I have the ES8075s. It gets VERY close and because of the 13,000rpm heads, you don't get any bumps.

Get the one (many models) that has the:

Nano Technology Delivers the Sharpest Blades - at an angle of 30° great for precision cutting
The pivoting head follows the contours of your face. You can adjust the amount of pivot based on your preference with the Pivot Action Selector
The patented Linear Motor Offers a Frictionless Shave - At 13,000 RPMs, it powers effortlessly through even the thickest beards for less pulling and irritation while shaving
Shave wet or dry - Panasonic technology allows the shaver to be fully immersible in water for a great shave in or out of the shower. You can shave wet with lather or dry for a quick trim
The powerful and intelligent HydraClean Hygienic Cleaning System includes automatic charge, clean and dry functions, while refreshing the shaver for its next use. All these functions can be used together or independently. Included in the drying feature is a heating element for an extra dry shaving head, leaving no wetness or moisture behind. The cleaning base will heat dry the entire shaver head and then fan dry any leftover moisture. This system uses a water/ detergent-infused cleansing proce

I ordered one online after reading this thread, it should be coming in tomorrow I hope it goes good

I bought http://dealspl.us/Panasonic-ES8167A-Arc-Shaver-with-Vortex-Cleaning-System_11146 << that one...

good deal too

its the 13k model, not sure of the other specs though but its rated pretty good... This is my first electronic real electronic shaver, before whenever I was too lazy to do a real shave, i just use my andis T-edger(used for lining up) which cut kinda close but no where near as close as a real blade shave.

Bought it when it first came out. Works very well if you use it every day.
I still use a real razor to finish the job and to clean edges.

philips norelco cool skin 8020x... one of the ones that pumps lotion....

had the older one when i was younger that let out some lotion... but i always got razor burn...

bought this one the other day.. in hopes that it would work better.. and it does!!! very pleased with it... no razor burn at all... (if i use a real razor my neck breaks out worse than anything ever...)

and i have a philips norelco trimmer too (pretty sure it is....) that has a "vacuum" on it as well.. so less mess when trimming...

i cannot use electric shavers at all, my beard is too thick and grows too fast.

But , i guess if you shave every morning like you are supposed to, its prob easier, i shave like once a week i like the mountain man look :taun:

I use one of these to get the hair off when I have a lot of stubble. The slide on guard keeps the blade from cutting you but you but it doesn't cut close. But it will get you to the point where you can use a regular razor after a week or two of beard growth.

Here is the style of razor I use every day:

http://theauctionrebel.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/gillette-president-razor1.jpg

It cuts close as hell, but if you have any bumps on your face it will cut them right off. I put a hot towel over my beard for a few minutes to open my pores and I also make sure my face is wet before applying the foam and I leave the foam on for 2-3 minutes. That helps a lot, even when shaving with a regular razor.

I have to shave every other day. If I go for a week without shaving I will have a full beard.

Of an electric razor or one of the styles I posted above?

Electric shavers are nothing to fear. The biggest thing about them is it takes a while for you beard to get used to them. But even then its just a minor irritation, no worse than putting on aftershave after using a blade razor. You really can't cut yourself with an electric, even if you don't know what you are doing. They are completely harmless :goodjob:

The safety razor (bottom pic) isn't that much different to use than a regular razor. The "I'm gonna cut you sucka" razor, on the other hand... very dangerous , which is why I don't try to get close with it or use it without the guard.

Gillette Mach 5 Fusion

Blade for that... 4 for $10

blades for my razor... 4 for $1

And the blades last just about the same. One double edge (meaning front and back) blade lasts me about 5 shaves. And thats how long blades lasted in my Mach 3.
