View Full Version : a quick picture i took.

well me and a friend took some picture's of my car and his truck. while we were wainting for the sun to set alittle. he got his guitar out and i thought this was a cool picture. feedback wanted/needed good or bad.

The picture is sharp and exposed well, but he composition, to put it bluntly, sucks. The subject(guitar) is centered(boring), and the background, although blurred, is distracting. I think if you had cropped tighter like so(only with the camera, or if it isn't too bad looking, recrop your original file and post it larger):

It adds more interest if the neck is going Juuuust out of the frame, and the truck tail light is gone now too. This layout also has the eyes moving around the frame rather than dead in the middle. I suggest taking the picture a little more in front of the guitar, so we can see down the neck as it fades into blurryness with the tip of the neck going just out of frame on the right and a little bit of solid color background to leave some dead space to the left of the guitar (not a truck tail lgiht) just my $.02
