Where is Obama at? Why is he letting the HARD left try to PUSH this stimulus bill through ?
Hes gotta learn to be a leader, and he knows he has to govern from the center, but letting Pelosi write this bill, pass it, and for him to not take a stand and say "Cut the crap out of this bill, we need something that creates jobs, not grow govt" really bothers me.
The republicans are coming out GREAT right now, hell, the moderate dems are coming out GREAT right now.
Its the hard line Left whackjobs that are going to send us down in flames.
Write your congressman/senator, OPPOSE THE STIMULUS BILL in its current form.

I have alrea contacted Osakson and Chambliss. I really do like Isakson's amendment to the package that gives anyone buying a home a 15k tax credit on top of all other credits that are out there.

Obama said some smart ass remarks earlier today telling those opposed to the Stimulus Bill that it needs to pass and if you are standing in the way of this bill you are standing in front of progress for America, while also saying that the Stimulus Package is a spending bill, which is the only way out of our situation right now... Why add more debt than we already have?
I'm sorry but it just doesn't make sense to me to spend almost 1 Trillion dollars in the state of affairs our economy is in right now. I mean how is giving a $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film, $448 million for constructing the Department of Homeland Security headquarters, $248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters, and $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees all going to help create an effective amount of jobs and stimulate the economy???

Cause deep down he is rooting for them from the left field nose bleed section. I honestly feel like hes a radical wolf in bipartisan sheep's clothing. He likes big government and socialism.

and $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees
I have no problems with this one. 90% of Govt vehicles are used around town and not on road trips therefore none of there deficincies would come out and it would save millions of dollars in fuel every year. That 600M would be a huge, although short term, boost to whichever manufacturer gets the contracts.

Honestly I'm tired of seeing him on TV everyday making some new statement. This guy was supposed to be the gold standard of politicians and so far he has had multiple people resign due to various issues mostly taxes.
He's reassigning and creating all these new economic advisory teams and comes out everyday preaching doom and gloom in an already volitale cituation. Not only that but while he has done nothing but preach bipartisan yet he has no problem going on national television and bashing the right. What a crock of shit.
Not to mention the shamefull thing he just dead by dismissing all charges against the guys involved in the U.S.S. Cole attack without prejudice.
