Well did a quick search on google since i was bored and found the answer:D



the term "blow job" came from the term "basket job" which was popular slang in the 1940s.

Basket job referred to homosexual oral sex, and when it was picked up by the heterosexual community they eliminated the term "basket" which was slang for a man's genitals.

Job simple meant doing something (sexual) to the man's penis/genitals. So the term job was kept.

"Blow" was replaced by the heterosexual community because it had already existed as slang for oral sex on a man, in part because many women would perform oral sex by wetting the penis with saliva and then literally blowing on it. As the saliva evaporated, the penis would cool slightly providing an enjoyable sensation to some men.

Today the term "blow job" has evolved to mean the general act of fellatio among straight, gay, and bisexual individuals and does not necessarily involve the act of "blowing" on the moistened penis anymore.
