i didnt know where to post, so i did it here

i tried couple of hid look lights (couldnt afford real hid conversion. lol) in my past few cars, and never got the look i wanted. i was hoping for that ridiculous blue look. lol. my current headlights cannot take hid lighting due to its housing? at least thats what i was told. so im in the market again for hid look lights. i see ppl at night that have hid look lights (i can tell its not hid) that looks super blue. lol. its not that blue-ish white look. its just straight blue. anyone have these lights and can point me in the right direction for my 09 tC?

any help is greatly appreciated.

if i can put HIDs in a 1988 integra, then im sure you can put them in your 09 TC.

i got different headlights than 05-07 tc's.. 08-09 tc's got projectors so they'll melt with hid. i dunno much but thats what i was told.

^thx! nice info! +1

i know they fit but i've saw lots of posts where they melt your housing. i dont wanna risk that. i also dont want to put too much money into this car. im trying to save up for my next project, is350 :bump: even tho i got this car less than a month ago. lol. i want a nice ride til i can afford is350 basically.

so no risk taken, best blue hid look bulb to go with?

off topic- its super cold/windy out tonight? wtf?

silly you, HID kits cant melt your housing.. if that were true then regular halogen bulbs will set your headlights on fire :headslap:

^^ I agree. HIDs use LESS energy than halogen. There is no way they can do any damage to you housing.

Go HID :)

I thought halogen lighting gets hotter than HID lighting.

i wouldnt worry so much about getting pulled over with HIDs as I would buying "blue" bulbs. Plus you are not gonna be able to see a damn thing with blue bulbs...

PS-buy a different car. problem solved.

ouch.. less than a month of ownership  lol.. i love toyota's tho. thats why i bought it. didnt buy it thinkin i'll be going fast or anything. also didnt have money to buy an is-f :goodjob: (what i really wanted.. lol).

anyways, back on topic. i dont know anything about electronics, especially car electronics. so thanx for info on how hid's are cooler, temperature wise! always learn sumthin new from you guys. better driving performance is my priority on modifications. so maybe later down the road, i'll grab a set of hid's after my performance modifications. i only wanted some hid look lights to quickly improve my tc's looks for 20 bucks. lol.

thx again for replies!

To all the haters, I have been rocking HID look alike bulbs for like 2 1/2 years now on the same set, I passed them through my vehicles. They still look like HIDs, and still give out great light.

These are the ones I order every time.
