They are still talking to the insurance company. They told me this week but who knows.
I figured I would keep trying until I worked my first day.

true that.

insurance company? once you pass the background and mvr check, and probably drug test, you should be good to go. they dont really have to talk to anyone, as long as you clear those 3 things.

no, because I will be driving cars all day, so they are trying to clear me with the insurance company because of my speeding ticket. But I have ZERO wrecks on my record so I should be good.

yeah. its a similar thing to tires plus, kauffman, and even advance (parts delivering). i have a horrible record and i have had no problem getting jobs like these. either the manager is a lazyass or they probably arent gonna hire you for whatever reason.

^^ thats a good idea actually. theres a lot of random jobs on there and most of the people looking for stuff on there will pay pretty fairly.

sounds like my manager at advance... took nearly 2 months from the first interview to actually give me a starting date, then they changed managers and i had to wait another 2 weeks.

Most craigslist postings seem to be scams in terms of jobs

Good luck man. I have been looking in Gwinnett and around here for 6 months now. There isnt shit out there unless you have a 4 year degree, or if you can do IT stuff, which I do not fit either of those.

If anyone wants to apply, my dad works for atlanta constiutional (newspaper) and he delivers for like 4hours (3am-7am) and gets some good money, not great but its better than nothing.

A few IA members already applied idk if anyone got the job but they lose workers all the time and should need new ones.

UPS is hiring package handlers at the doraville and roswell hub. they've been for quite a while too, I applied 3-4 months back but received no call. The Target next to Home Depot on State Bridge Rd. is hiring.

I think UPS posts that up to look good, and to make people assume they are hiring. One of my buddies was next in line for a supervisor position at Doraville. He left on good standing with a 2 weeks notice and everything. He went there the other day and talked to a manager that he was friends with, he was trying to go back as a package handler, and they told him that they were full and they had to delete hundreds of applications a day.

UPs is actually getting rid of people.. so i hear. a friend of mine works there.. BUt UPS is usually hiring non-stop.

But craigslist is a good place tho, since they are gonna start charging people to post job listings.. it should clean it up..alot.
