so i bought a 94 civic hatchback from a guy in north ga,i go to change spark plugs and one seems to be cross threaded in or locked,it pulled the plug from the threads while me and my pop we tryin to take it out....so my question is there anyway to get the thread part out without disassembling the head from the block....

ive had that happen on 2 customer cars but they was 4 runners. i had to pull the heads. take them to a machine shop. have a helicoil installed. u can do it at home no problem also if u can find the kit in the stores or online. i would just recommend having the head off to make things easier to work with.

He told me that they did a long ass time ago. I figured they did because his car wasn't misfiring like some old ass John Deere anymore. lolol.

Be sure to use a thread insert (time sert), and not a heli coil.
