It was a fun night and I definitely appreciate SmackedInATL coming out so he could help me dispel the rumor that all Hondas especially NSXs are slow and outdated ;) ;) ;)

I read somewhere "There were not many cars that grew old as gracefully as the NSX". I admit it is not a spring chicken but with an additional of a few modifications, it will definitely be back in the position it once was against most modern cars today.

I also read somewhere that the designers at GM used the NSX as a target when it came time to design the C5 corvette. If it was so outdated, why would they copy a 5 year old car design at that time.

I do not know how many times people come up to me and ask if my car was the new Corvette. So much I decided to get personalized plates a few years ago…

Could not tell what happen much? I would have let you ride with me just for better videos EVEN with the significant weight disadvantage. And to Smacked's credit, when people talk about the Cobra and how blown 4 cylinders are beating a blown V8 and blah blah blah....the reason '03 Cobras are so popular is because they are an excellent platform for making power. Like he said, he's only got $350 in mods and it's making about 50 more rwhp than stock. For less than $1000 I believe (depends on how much a tune cost) these cars can make about 100 more rwhp than from the factory. He hasn't even begun to start tapping into the capabilities of that car yet.

Alex's NSX is bad ass and fast. As many have stated about the NSX it was not meant to be balls fast from the lot. He has made it a beast. Smacked's cobra is relatively stock, modded could prove a closer race. Both cars are sick, but I still want an overpriced Honda :D Stay tuned, lol!

Aaron, from my viewpoint, with the exception of the first two, the outcomes weren't that far off from each outer. Even you got the hit in that run cause you can hear the blower whine before alex hits it. And yes, alex was pulling WELL over 2 cars on you. I wish you wouldn't have missed third on the run where I was stationary. We should've tried that perspective again. Anyways props to everyone that came out. It was fun.

With the information posted above which I would assume is pretty accurate I dont see how anyone including both drivers are surprised of the outcome.

600-700lb weight difference is very hard to overcome.

I appreciate it. LWA will be the only people to touch my engine building jobs. Especially after I took apart my old motor after I starved it for oil, and the piston sleeves that were in there looked like they only had a few thousand miles on them. I am actually going to re-use my old pistons in another motor.

How am I a RICER???

1. RICER (Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.

The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
Honda Civics with big spoilers and 4" exhaust tips are considered to be ricers.

I am not going to start racing every Tom Dick and Harry. My point was not to say I am the fastest car out there because I know I am not. The main reason I accepted the call out from SmackedInAtl was to prove the NSX was not outdated nor underpowered. With a few mods, I could run and beat most modern cars.

Actually I was the one who missed a shift. You can hear me let off of the throttle for a second. You can still hear the whine of the supercharger as I let off. Either way it was a fun race.
