Ok so school is starting to pile up and I need to do something about it. I have 3 credit cards I would like I consolidate before the interest hits them. I was wondering if anyone on here does consolidation loans, or recommends a place? I am going to go to Wachovia tomorrow and see if there is anything they can do. I am not looking for like $20,000 or anything just trying to get around $5,000-$7,000 to pay off these cards from books, and tuition. I have been slowly paying each off, but with three payments its getting a little too much. One would be a little more nice and I would have a lower interest rate and I would pay it off quicker.
If anyone has any information let me know. I have a co-signer, parents, so I am not worried about my credit being too low or anything.
THANKS

i would try 1 of 2 things.
i'd try to get a new credit card with FREE and/or CHEAP balance transfers. i'd roll all of those credit cards into the new card and go from there. the only thing to take into consideration is the interest rate for the new card.
you can also apply for an unsecured loan from your bank. use that money to pay off all three cards, and you'll now have just that 1 loan to worry about. many people don't know this, but that's also an option for people who are upside in their cars. let's say you have a car that's worth $10k. you find someone willing to give you $8k...some banks (obviously the one holding your title) will release the title and issue you an unsecured loan for the negative equity.

i would suggest an 0% interest card. But before you do that you need to add up all the totals and divide over the spand of no interst for the card. Most cards only do it for the first year. So itll make your payments a little higher but if you can handle it go for it.

i have been looking around for cards with 0% interest but its hard to get a co-signer on a card in order to get a $5-7,000 limit...lol
I am going to the bank today and talking to them about a unsecured personal loan. I got all the paperwork for next months interest hit....36.999%....lol WTF!!!
Anything will be cheaper than that, shit I will be paying like $200 a month and $175 of it will be interest.
THANKS

I did this after I quit working and started going back to school. I got an unsecured loan from my credit union for only 8% intrest. Payments are affordable and they work well with me if I have to miss a payment (which usually happens when I have to buy books and such). They just add the 'missed' payment to the end of the loan and I only have to pay the added intrest.

Are you in good standing with your current credit cards? What are the interest rates/balances. I would call the one with the lowest interest rate and tell them you want to transfer balances.
Get a card with whoever you have the best rate/history with.

i am in good standings will all my cards. never late, never over my limit, always paying twice if not three times the minimum payments.
I went to Wachovia today and they no longer do unsecured loans. I am going to contact Associated Credit Union in a min and see what they can do, with a $5 deposit anyone can join....
oh an about the 36.999% interest....theres the school getting their kickback...it was one of those cards they offered at school that was AWESOME....well it was while the 0% interest was there...next month it will be $90 in interest and $100 to the balance....crazy

Yeah, Unsecured loans are far and few, with the exception of hella crazy interest rates. The Credit Union is your best bet then. Good luck on that.
Last resort is a family member, lol.
