My Mother in law is a school nurse and good ol Sonny Perdue wants to get rid of all school nurses for Budget Cuts. I am also a Parent like many of you. What this means is that when your kid gets sick a Teacher or an ambulance would be handling your child's medical needs at school. I mean that is when your kid gets a cold they would send them home or if he had a seizure or something worse you would have to wait for an ambulance to show up. This is not a good!! Please go and sign up the petition plus spread the word.

They actually have cut back and 1 Nurse can cover as many as 3 High Schools and 2 Middle schools but every elementry school should have 1

hey i got an idea. how about we now pay the super attendants $150,000+ a year for doing nothing. How about we stop paying principals over $100,000. That would save more money than taking a $20-25k a year nurse out of a school...like said about, thats the dumbest shit i have heard in a while. I loved laying on the cots when you "felt sick" aka had a test.....lol

The school system, like everyone else, is hurting for money...
Fulton county needs to cut 300 teaching jobs for the next school year.

I saw this on the news yesterday and laughed, then was confused. I hope they plan on giving all teachers a free tuition ride to become certified nurses. Kid gets sick, no medical help/attention, kid gets others sick, someone dies.......LAWSUIT!

They need to cut some of the "over paid, under-working" peoples salaries.

most principals get paid $100,000-150,000+ they have 2 damn assistants as well....i mean come on. I know they work a lot, but not that damn much. I say hire 3 AP's per school and cut the pay of the principals, it would get more done and at the same time save $40,000+ per school

Principles, Supers.....all of them!

...and stop paying the damn Asst. Coaches of the athletic teams so much, esp if the team SUCKS! Do you know how many schools have "extra" coaches that make over $40k that DON'T TEACH and are apart of a LOSING TEAM!

Money can be cut in a lot of places, but taking nurses is not cool.

just another way for them to make money...if something happens and you need to call 911, the parents will have to pay for the ambulance ride to the hospital and make the state more money....its all a conspiracy
