and DAMN does it maker my Rx-7 feel old. My clutch feels heavy now, the steering feels heavy, my car is so rattly and loud. It's almost like the Mazda folks started unbolting things and messing up my car while I was out in the 8 cause it just feels so bad by comparison. It kinda sucks, I am having problems with things I have never even noticed before. I've driven newer cars, but to drive the newest version OF your car is so different. Has this happened to anyone else? how do you get over it without spending a ton of money(and getting the new car)?

On a side note I do hope to get an 03 or 04 Rx-8 within the next 2 or 3 years. They're getting cheap and I'm saving.

I was thinking that was gonna happen, but sadly, it did not. I just realized how nice it was seeing out of the rear with a working defroster, navigating a parking lot with power steering, and actually being able to hear the radio without jacking it up to 40.

Well the newer Rx-8 didn't feel like as much of a piece of passion, I could tell it was built by robots and not people, so it was lacking something too. I guess I'll just have to own both.

That's the plan in a few years. After this first year of required campus housing is over, I'm gonna move back in home and commute to school. The saved money is going in an account for an Rx-8. My education is gonna be paid for in full with no loans to pay off (except this first year). It's quite exciting.

It wasn't the quickest hting in the world, about as fast as my FB (which is about as fast as my TII was) but I want one to daily so I can put my FB on the tracks.

not a fan of the 8 at all. my girl had one until she wrecked it, but stock for stock there are so many other cars in the same price range that are better and more reliable...they do handle beautifully tho i will say that.

she had an 04 for about a year and it needed a new motor at 38k miles and not even before the 1st oil change on the new motor it was misfiring. there is a recall on alot of the motors, depending on some bullshit reading they take decides if it gets a new one lol would rather buy a Z or an s2000 before an 8.

I am aware of all of that. But I like the Rx-8 and I am loyal to the Mazda brand and the rotary engine. not to mention I love the layout of the Rx-8's interior. Lastly 9.5K redline mmmmmmmm........

i havent driven any later generation 325s (or enough to form an opinion anyways), but im sure they would make me hate my car for some reasons and love it for others.

my buddy got a 04 rx8 with a lil over 40k on it. First day he had it, he called me and a friend and was like... Dude... meet me here... and i knew wut happened... it drives soo nice. Sounds good, VERY good handeling, quick enough for me, and is fucking sexy. Taking it 9grand was fun too... :ninja:

Those are very affordable, especially with my connections. I've seen some go breath-takingly low. lol

new cars suck. ive driven Z32, and it made me love my Z31 more. i drove an SN95 and it made me love my fox more. old cars have passion and soul. they arent designed and manufactured by machiines. they have the heart and sould of a human being put into them. if you push them, they push back. none of this ABS and STM bullshit.

This made me laugh, out loud. For serious.:lmfao:

On Topic, I owned an RX8 for a short period of time and I was not impressed with it at all and that was disappointing to me because it's a good looking car.

IMO, it seemed to be lacking in torque.

Like someone previously stated in this thread, there are quite a few cars in the RX8's price segment that perform better and would be more of what I would consider to be a good buy.
