First of all, I understand that everybody make their own decisions, and it's their life. I am not trying to change anybody's minds about anything.

Lately, I have seen a lot of "here is my new daily driver" threads, and most of those are some big block cars and/or brand spanking new cars.

The economy is taking a shit on us, all of us are suffering, I don't understand how some of us still have money to go buy new cars and daily drive a V8.

As far as my understanding, a daily driver is something you can beat on, something easy to fix, something cheap.

Where are you guys getting all this money to buy cars like a Cadillac, or have a built Evo and another Evo for a DD (no one on this site)?

I don't get a new cell phone every couple months. I don't go to the mall to shop except for maybe every 2-3 months, and even then I only buy 1 or 2 things. Most things around the house I do myself instead of paying someone else. I wash my own cars, and do all the maintenance myself.

Everyone is different, some people enjoy those things, and don't mind spending the money for it. I myself would rather save that money, and splurge on a vacation, or save up to pay cash for a car.

You don't know that. They may sacrafice other things to afford to have 2 cars. I could easily waste $200-$500 a month on those other things and not really notice it. Or they could live at home with their parents, etc. You don't know everyones situation.

Yeah not everyone industry goes down with the economy, I work in the legal field, economy goes down.. Divorce, Crime and Bankruptcy goes up.. not to mention.. when people lose there jobs.. they have more time to think about things they have put off and who owes them money and file claims against them :)

Economy hasn’t effected insurance industry much. Insurance is something you have to have to drive..... We bought a few agencies that just had to much overhead. All that did was help us grow..

I daily drive my v8 truck and love it!!!

Economy has hurt some people badly, for example. I bought 2 jet skis over the weekend super cheap. The guy was behind on his mortgage

For yall fukin Honda haters, our DD's are the bestest. The economy isnt effecting me, but I still never saw the idea of WASTING so much money on something u hardly use. I'm one of those minimalist. The largest car I ever intend to get will be a 4cyl sedan. I dont get how some of yall can ride around and not ever experience 35-40+ mpg just to go from place to place. It baffles me.
