Hood spacing: summer time yes, winter time no.
...or get a Hondata intake manifold gasket and you'll have better gains lowering the intake temps than hood spacing can ever do. Plus wrap the header/exhaust manifold.
Great looking car except that hood..
Its broken, or not aligned or something.. Did you crash the car?

sure do have one bro :goodjob:
Summertime would actually be a better time to not cowl the hood as raising it up does not allow hot air to be evacuated from the engine bay as it was designed to be done (underneath the car). The windshield cowl (where your wipers are at) is a high pressure area - by raising the hood, you create a vortex here when at speed, which acts as a wall - keeping higher temps under the hood.
i like the look, which is why it's been done. :)

i was actually gonna say the same thing earlier. i was thinking about doing it with my miata because those thigns are BAD about heat soaking and having insane underhood temps, but after doing my research i found that it would actually make things worse.

correct sir :) the best way to combat high under-hood temps is to remove any noise dampening material that's there and install a low temp thermostat and fan switch, as well as wrapping the exhaust manifold. :goodjob:

the wheels are +40, which is just about perfect for this chassis on a 7" wide wheel. The issue I'm thinking you're seeing is negative camber - which is hard to correct all the way when the tires are inside the fenders. :goodjob:

-jonathanWho cares when the car is moving, that's what the radiator is for. It's when the car is sitting in traffic running on a hot day. Heat rises. More heat will escape if the hood is raised.
If you're doing it for looks then go ahead and drive the car off the end of the runway and into a tree. :goodjob:
