There is also a video on here where they had a dyno day of k20 swaped cars. And all of them were pushing 280+ N/A.

Yeah thats what i was thinking of the usual set up of Headers, Full Catback 2.5 tip, stage 1 clutch and cam gears.
What kind of pistons should i get?
And a little more info on "rod head bolts, itbs," im kinda of a noob:cheers:

all sounds good expect the ITBs, they are pain in the ass if you put them on a DD.

Do some re-search about other people k20 swaped cars. Look at their write ups, and follow up.

Lol this thread fails. But K > B... funny how you said GSR and not type R but anyways... Judging by the lack of information you reveal in your posts. You probably don't have near enough money to even get yourself into the K scene... Sorry but it's the truth.

You do know that 300whp from a NA 4 cylinder is hard to get, right?
Also, 300whp is a LOT for short gears and a light car. My car probably puts out about 150whp and runs 13.5 in the 1/4 mile.

300hp all motor K or B series is big money.

150 whp and a 13.5?!? I'd have to see that... unless your car literally weighs like 1600 pounds.

I highly doubt it's over 160whp, highly doubt it. It's just a JDM GSR with big tube tri-y, sk2 pro intake mani, and a 68mm TB... untuned.

hmmmm if you are running 13.5 with 150-160ish hp... and 130ish torque in a car that weighs 2200ish... I wonder what my car weighing 2500 with 210 whp and 154wtrq is going to run with slicks this weekend... should be good... I hope to cut 1.9 60's too.

well that Would be amazing... Good thing my first time out I am only shooting for 13.5's with slicks being as it will only be the second time I have tracked the car in its current setup, since I didn't want to go back out till I had traction haha! Shit if I break 12's tomorrow I might piss myself... but no getting ahead of myself.... 13.5's And I will be happy...
ejohnson88
01-30-2009, 11:57 AM
people have broken 12's with close to my power and my weight with close to same setup... but being that good takes practice and seat time... Maybe by the middle of the season and a couple of track days under my belt I could do it...

well after running slicks and having a passenger in what ending up being my best run lol I ran a 12.5 at 101.5 with a 1.99 60' while weighing in at 2700 pounds... That's full weight with 2 people... haha my other run cut a 1.90 60' but I couldn't get second to save my life and so that mis shift caused me to get a 13.8 at 102.3.... Man Had I not misshifted second I would have been 13.2-13.3 bound... on that run...

gonna take a lot of seat time and some good 60' times with some count traction. All 3 are very important to taking off a tenth here and there. My problem is traction, therefore a bad 60' time because of compensating for it to not roast the tires and run a decent time on street tires. It's a delicate dance.

itbs is individual throttle bodies. try to get some off a busa or something, might have to get the intake flange, but it would be a good setup.

k20a (type-r) makes 230hp stock, k20a2 makes 195,and the k20a3 is,well the same as a gsr. and if you wanted to make enything close to 300hp with a b series you would wanna start with a b18c (type-r) it makes 195hp stock and thats if you have the money. the cheapest way to go is probly k20a2 . itbs are way fucking expensive, and you cant really dailly drive that.my buddy has an 02 rsx and hes running k20a2 head/k24 bottom hondata k-pro. made 247hp on the dyno on A tune. stock internals so if he had built the head/bottom. could of got atleast 280hp. you can port and polish and bore a gsr all you want and then yull be were a k20a2 is stock. plus the k series i-vtec is fuckin sick. k all the way.and if you do push 300hp all motor its probly not going to be reliable for shit. but hey if you have tons of money why not. but if you do this your gonna need to sleeve the block with a bigger bore. one hell of a port and pollished head, new valves, springs, retianers, rockers, cams, high comp piston and if your not gonna be able to run pump gas. and your going to have to have a serious fuel set up injecters, fuel rail, fuelpump est...so if you have 20.000 dollars layin around and the chance that that motor gonna fuck up. but if you can get all this shit find some one who really knows what the fuck there doing. so i hope this solves the gsr or k20 problem, and ends this forum
