I got a 93 ej1 vtec that I'm going to put a 2001 GSR motor my quetion is what ecu should I use?The one that came from the 2001 has the immobolizer feature,so I was thinking I could use an obd1 p72 or get my p28 chipped.

chipped p28 much cheaper and you'd get to play with fuel maps and your vtec setting. :goodjob:

Yes it will be fine, but you will have to do some wiring, to repin the dizzy, as well as add things like butterflys, knock, etc...

I just want my car back to 100% stock!

If I was going the P28 route, but I should be fine with an OBD2 P72 and just rewire the knock and vtec.

well if you go p28 you dont have to wire shit, except re pin a dizzy, since its obd2.... you can turn all that jazz off.. but if you use a stock p72 you need to do what I stated.

wow really so I would be better off using my p28,I might have to bring it your way to get it chipped or get it work.

Everything that I've read says that the obd1 p72 works with out modyfing to many wires. But you do this for a living so your have more experience than me.If I run into a problem that I can't figure out I'll bring it by the shop...if thats okay :D
