well i kknow its the alternator...but i just wanted some extra opinions

other day i was riding and my alternator belt always makes a funny noise...so one day..it didnt make any noise and it smelt like as if something was burning

i get out, and my damn belt isnt there, and good thing it was on a rolling hill because autozone was right there! so i ran the car without an alternator for a good..what...30 mins?

i bought another belt...and...it snapped off on me too...

on my third belt..i put it on, put a little bit of oil on it to stop making noise, and it worked...i tightened up the alternator because i thought my pulley was bad...

and today, my damn battery went out, at 12 in the afternoon, and my belt is still there, i recharged it and within 20 minutes of driving its dead again

MY BATTERY IS PERFECT, so im assuming its my alternator thats fuck up, u guy think since i was riding in my car with out the belt did damaged to my alternator? i wanna get opinions cuz i dont want to take it to shop and waste money

If I am not mistaken, riding with out the belt would just cause the car to be ran off the battery power... Just take your alternator off, it's not that hard, a few sockets is more than enough tools, and take it to parts store and have them test it for you... Shop is going to charge you WAY to much for that.
