Ok so I am stuck between the three following choices:

2GB DDR3 1333 2x1GB sticks Cas Latency: 6 $86
4GB DDR2 1066 2x2GB sticks Cas Latency: 5 $64
8GB DDR2 800 4x2GB sticks Cas Latency: 5 $100

They all run close to the case price. I do very minimal gaming mainly video and picture editing. I am running a Q9300 Dual Quad core CPU and Vista 64 bit.

I can only run the following setups:

2 DDR3 sticks
2 DDR2 1066 sticks
4 DDR2 800/667 sticks

I am leaning more towards the 4GB of DDR2 1066, but then again with picture editing maybe 8GB of DDR2 800 will work better. Give me you input and what you would do. THANKS

I say go for the 4x2gig DDR2 @ 800mhz man.

64bit OSes love lots and lots of ram.

The speed of the memory is of no real consequence beyond 800mhz, especially considering the as speed increases so does latency.

If all you're doing is picture editing the 4GB DDR2 should be fine. I personally think bigger is always better though...

Define minimal gaming... .
