Don't know what local is to you to provide info on a track. And I hope the "racing scene" you are referring to is strictly track or another organized race event.

What do you like, drag racing I'm assuming? Atlanta Raceway is in Commerce, GA up I-85 and there is also one that I've been to many times called Silver Dollar Raceway. It is waaaay down in middle GA about an hour or two south of atlanta in Reynolds, GA. If you like to go see, or possibly participate in some road racing (not street racing) then Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA is where its at.

There are two quarter-mile tracks. One is about two hours South of Atlanta called Silver Dollar Raceway. The other is about an hour to an hour and a half North of Atlanta and is known as Commerce (technical name is Atlanta Dragway, I think).
