MY NEW TURBO BUILD!!!!

Since of few people are curious what I am building, I will go ahead and post up
some specs.

LSX 6Bolt Headed Block
ETP 265CC 6bolt heads
427ci
Big Cam
EZ 94mm Billet Impellar Turbo( 6in. inlet 5in exhaust outlet) 1850hp flow capablity
2000hp A/W Intercooler
All going in a White 98 Transam that is currently bone stock.
Going for appx.1250-1300rwhp
It will have a 6speed for hwy dutie's and a TH400 for track duties.
This car will retain A/C and Heat and all other comforts as well.
I will be doing some hwy runs, but only with a certain few!If they read this the certain few will know who they are.
This car will be on the street more than the track this time. For more enjoyment purpose's. I also plan on attending the Texas Mile Shootout as well just for fun! Should be done by the end of Februaury hopefully.

The 427 with both sides of the exhaust dumping into the turbo SHOULD spool it fairly quick. My other setup with the twins ,I had full boost by 4200rpm, so as long as its comprable, I will be happy.

The heads I bought new off of another forum member. They were for a standard LS head pattern. I shipped the heads back the the manufacturer to have them add the extra bolt holes for the LSX 6 bolt head pattern.

I got the car back from the turbo shop. I am working on finishing it up the rest of the stuff that has to be done. Here is a few pics.All fits under the stock hood, but I will be getting a ram air hood.

The fuel system is done! I had a sump welded in my stock tank, with 3 -10 fittings out of the sump going into each of the 3 fuel pumps. Then I had the pumps setup just like my old car with 2 pumps connected together, but then I added a 3rd pump and connected it with a "T" fitting and a 90deg. elbow fitting. The 3rd pump actually is by itself to a point. It worked out the same as I was going to use a "Y" block but this worked out and it was easier to do.
Then it all hooks up to a -8 line to the rail, and again I am using the stock feed line as my return line to the tank. Here is some pics.

Just a heads up you should never T pumps together like that you should always use Y fittings, it restricts flow a lot.

On my previos car, I had the 2 pumps just like they are pictured. They worked fine like that up to around 13-1400FWHP. I basicly just added the 3rd pump. As long as each pump is pulling its own fuel through seperate fuel lines, it will be fine. Time will tell. LOL!

his build is better on this than the last and he made over 1100 or 1200whp then and ran bottom end 9's. i know he will make at leaast that on this build but he's doin a lil more of a true street build and keeping more creature comforts with this one so power will be the same or more but like the rest of us that race, he'll find out what it runs when he gets it dialed in. but i'm sure it'll be low 9 to mid 8's after the chassis is dialed in at the track :cheers:

but when it comes to topics like this there are those of us that have worked our a$$ off to make quick cars(just like you're doin) then a no name comes out of nowhere that has done nothing trying to act like 'the king'. if he had any kind of proof of anything his car has done anything it'd be different. so until he does if he wants to act like 'the king' before he is then i'll keep calling him babystone and bust his balls every oppurtunity i can.

It may be a pain but if you can get an auto in there it will be SOOOO much faster IMHO. What trannies are you looking at?

What do's the input shaft have to do with it? The converter go's over the input shaft. Here is a idea for you. I would go with a Powerglide Tranny, all you have to do is get a converter for the powerglide, but when you order the converter, tell them you need to it to fit a flexplate for your particular motor. You may have to send the flexplate in to them. Then you call JW Ultrabell for a bellhousing and tell them what motor it is for and I am sure they can make a bellhousing up for you.Then your next step is have a crossmember made and a driveshaft made, and you should have no problems running your #'s! The only reason I suggest a Powerglide Tranny is they are small in size, and do not take alot of power to run them.If they make all the parts for a Supra to fit a TH400, then I am sure you can get your's done as well.

There is NO shaft that go's into the back of the motor with a automatic. There is a small hub that is on the converter that go's through the FLEXPLATE,into the back of the crank, not Flywheel. Flywheel is for a stick shift, Flexplate for a automatic. You can have a auto for your car for probably less than $3500.00. A converter with that stall is no problem either.

clark and i do it all the time with our supras but mine is a 2800 stall for street driving, clark's is 5-5500k and we can both rev out to 10.5k easy. and clark makes nearly 1200whp w/o nos and he's got a big shot of nos he can hit at will

but we both use th400 for 3 gears instead of a powerglide with only 2 gears. dont forget most classes if you're gonna race prohibit any type of 2 gear trannies :2cents:
