I have 2 OBD0 B-seris distributors, one of them is for engines with vtec, and the other is for engines with non-vtec. Just so happens that the non-vtec distributor that i have has a bad CKP Sensor in it (crank position) and what i was wondering is, if the internals/CKP from the vtec dizzy would work with the non-vtec distributor with the bad CKP sensor?

or can i just cut off one of the mounting spots on the vtec distributor and bolt it up?

Wait, so i CAN take the crank position sensor out of the vtec dizzy, and re-install it in the non-vtec one, and have it work correctly?

Okay.... Now, what if i wanted to just plug the vtec dizzy into the non-vtec harness as-is, would i be able to do that?

You could just take all the parts out of the inside of the vtec dizzy, and install them in the other housing. That way, it all bolts up nice too.

Okay...well, i bought a new dizzy and installed it in the car today, same issue...

The circuit for my CKP is somehow screwed up, and has been shorted out. Now, its gone from the car not running correctly, to the car not running at all. Idk What happened...:(
