View Full Version : So.. I Got My First Tattoo!!! Memorial For Leisa

Brett

Well this past weekend I went down to Tampa to see a friend of mine who was my best friend when we were kids, Actually found him 2 weeks ago on Facebook.. So off I went to Tampa to see a great friend I havent seen or talked to in 18 years (Since 11th grade) lol.

Anyways while down there I was telling him how I wanted a Tattoo to honor Leisa but I have been a pussy about it because I am afraid of pain and needles, well anyways... He took me to the guy he goes to and talked me into doing it... I am so glad he did, I finally have something to have on me to remember her till the day I die.....

The Tattoo as you will see below is a Heart with a Yellow Daisy coming out of it, the black around it is a shadow affect to show it coming out from the heart. Leisa's FAVORITE flower was a Daisy, so thats what I wanted to do... for her it was SO WORTH IT!!!

I wont lie... the outline hurt a little, the coloring wasnt so bad, more just annoying... But my attitude was if I can face the pain I have had to endure of loosing her, this would be a walk in the park. I just feel like with this on my body, no matter where I am at, or what I am doing... Now Leisa is a part of my body till the day I die... and that is an amazing feeling to me.

Yay Brett! I'm so glad for you! Geeze, you bled a lot!

I didnt bleed at all pretty much, that red in that one pic was from when he was filling in the red then would wipe the area...... Thats not blood babe :)

I guess its supposed to be all flaky now? The yellow is really starting to pop out now to, the first 2 days the yellow wasnt as bright since it had minor blood spots in it, Now the color is so vivid

Also make sure if it's exposed to the sun (ie. going to the beach) you put sunscreen on it no matter how old it is, even if you don't put sunscreen anywhere else put it on your tat.

yes it is!!!!

i generally take 2 weeks to even start peeling (weird skin)

but with this stuff im flaking in 3 to 4 days

also remember when you apply aquaphor or A&D barely put nay on there you want just enough to hydrate it but not trap any infection in it

Well unfortunately most statements are generalizations.

I don't have time to take surveys and comparisons.

Its not my coloring book tattoo. So what does it matter?

No, not meant to be negative, even though it came across that way.

Just think a more "portrait" type tattoo would have been appropriate.

i would of also done a portrait in these circumstances

but you also have to remember he prob sat for 45min for the one he just got

i full size portrait would of taken severall hours and possibly more then one sitting depending on skin quality

also the fact that alot of people dont like tatoos

they think they hurt :gay:

and no one wants an unfinished peice on there arm thats suposed to symbolize something magical

So. Yea. Maybe you should've went for something a little more masculine.

Well you see, Leisa LOVED that type of flower, and the heart is for me and her... So honestly I wasnt to worried about it looking girly or whatever you want to call it, because anyone who understands loosing the very love of your life would not think that, Its 2 things that she loved, and I put them together to honor her and what she meant to me. So you know.... I am honored to wear this on my arm, because it symbolizes all I have left of the most amazing woman and person I have ever know and will be blessed to know... and all I have left is a memory and this is how I choose to honor it.
