So I've been pondering a "newer" car. I'm tired of civics so I'm going to a more luxurious, stylish, "older me" car..
I've decided on a LS400.. Any other thoughts? RWD and sedan are a must. Price range is under 6K.

6k is do-able for the ls but with those mods in the pics above there's no way. air ride alone will hit you with at least 3k. then wheels, tires, etc... just be careful and don't go cheap. there are plenty of these cars for sale on the west coast already modded up for under 10.

For the love of God skinny. JUST BUY THE LS400 and do it exactly like the first pic. But if I see an air ride set up on that car, i will come up there and hit you in the face with a Shovel. If you can't stand bouncing around in a dumped car then you don't need to be riding dumped.

Nice choice. If you do a first gen get a 93-94, they had a lot of updates. If you get a 2nd gen the 98-00 models had a revised front (HIDs optional/NAV optional) and wheels.
A rare one is a 1997 "COach" edition. Has the wheels the 98 plus adapted.

Ant, you crack me up. I will no way on earth buy a 90-91 LS400, nor put air ride on it.
The first pic is what I'm looking at doing. Megan or Ksport makes coilovers for around $900 and JIC makes some, but those are $1500! Same wheels, 19x8.5" in the front and 19x9.5" rear. Black. 5% tint.. DONE.
Maybe a WALD kit down the road.

Trust me, I've read and read and read about the LS400. Main things to look at are P/S problems they have. The starter, I can deal with. I'm pretty handy with tools. Also, the 93-94's have the bigger brakes and the air ride was replaced with conventional struts.

Yea. 6K is my limit for the base car. I can add on the other things, just want a nice, well taken care of LS400. seems all the good 93+ are about 4500 or more.
Random Hero's is nice, but I don't want white, but his car has the black leather. Damn.. it's tempting!
