ok so my car picks up slow in first gear until about 4 secs around 2.5k rpm. it sounds like its sorta bogging and then it picks up and every other gear is perfect.. it drives perfect besides the fact that it picks up slow when i take off. could it be the tranny? or the clutch? someone told me it could be the forward clutch.. help?

You didn't by chance mess with your timing recently, did you? Something like that is usually a symptom of being off a tooth on you timing belt.

If not, what else have you done recently?

its sounds like a fuel problem, my car acts the same if i turn my fuel pressure to low.:gay:

Either, timing, tune up, fuel filter(which I doubt that), stopped up cat!

Check your tune up, timing first, BTW does it seems to be fine once you get up an moving along? or gets worse when it gets hot (car temp gauge is in the warm) Not the car running hot!

If the cat is clogged, won't it get worse as you speed up more?

its fine when it gets warm. it is throwing a code p0301 a misfire from cylinder 1. it seems to shake alot but im pretty sure thats the misfire.. could the misfire cause it?

if your running really rich then thats what i think it is.
go to advance auto and have them run the comp on the
ecu and see what they say...

yo this could be a bad mas air flow sensor or a vacuum leak down past the sensor.try cleaning your maf sensor and check your hoses for any leaks.
also check the fuel filter and make sure its clean

i heard it could also be the o2 sensor.. i remember i saw the upstream one and it was bad. and i think my fuel filter needs to be changed also. ima check for any leaks today but i dont think i have any vacuum leaks.
