Wrong in both cases. "IF" I race from a dig, I prefer at the track because I'm MUCH less likely to wheelhop on a level prepped surface than a cold highway.

Also, I don't think that car would drag me with a 200 shot. He trapped 128, and I trap 126 on street tires. With a proper launch (basically good DR's or slicks), my car is very capable of being in the mid 10's@130+mph.

no its closer to 500whp.. on my curent set up on 18psi it made 461whp and 440 or so tq i built the bottom to hold 24~psi so there is some more in the tank.. and its weighs about 2800~ i think cant realy remember from the last time i weighed it at commerce. but all it does is spin, 1st=fail 2nd=fail 3=fail 4= traction even on slicks at the track so yeah its prety quick should be a mid to low 11 car if it will ever stop spining :cheers:

Sir, you may need to review the Street Dyno Test Procedures Manual Volume 1 version 6, page 187, part 91.113 section C that discusses consequences of throttle application at various ground and tire temperatures, vehicle speeds, gear selections and horsepower levels.

It states that "even after the required crew training in this area has been completed, and knowing the possibility exists for an unexpected and sudden loss of traction upon throttle application, the operator of the vehicle may still be unable to arrest a sudden loss of traction.

Yeah, the weight transfer of a FWD vehicle is less than optimal when wide open throttle is applied. The lateral acceleration forces effectively transfer the static weight off of the front tires and towards the rear of the vehicle. I guess we are going to have to try another day. its just tough for me to get out that late on a weeknight. Maybe this weekend like sat night or something we can catch up with each other and some of the other guys can come out too.

Yeah, it's almost an hour drive up there for me and Rick. A weekend would be better. I don't feel comfortable going that early, anyway. Plus, the warmer the better :D

Ok, sounds good.

I tried a few runs last weekend when it was 30 degrees out or so. Couldn't even give it half throttle up until around 70 - 80mph, was useless.

Yeah, that was something different. Not quite sure what happened there. The track was slick as hell, but I think my rear tires were spinning then quickly grabbed with one spinning way faster than the other.
