I know alot of people that have been hit hard due to the economy. IA is kinda like a big family and I urge people to help each other out. What I am asking for is for everyone to post Job Openings in the WALLSTREET (http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=89) section. It doesn't matter what the job is anything to help out the members hit hard by the economy. We have already seen some rough times and more may be coming so if we can help just by letting people know where some opportunities may be that would be great

I posted an example of one this morning... I get emails from recruiters all the time for IT jobs and part time work like below:

Hi,
One of our clients in the downtown area has the need for multiple temporary customer service representatives (handling both inbound & outbound calls). The pay is $12 per hour & the temporary assignment is scheduled to last 2-3 months. The client is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - so they are looking to fill various shifts. Some of the positions are bilingual Spanish - those pay $12.50 per hour.

Qualified candidates MUST HAVE PERFECT CREDIT - ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE CURRENT, ANY CHARGE-OFFS OR COLLECTIONS MUST BE PAID!!

Experience wise candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of call center experience, preferably handling both inbound & outbound calls. Excellent communication skills & a positive attitude are also required.

The client is interviewing immediately for this opportunity! If you know of anyone who might be interested, please have them forward me their resume ASAP.

Thanks,
Kim Hunt

Hi,
One of our clients in the Downtown area is seeking part-time Customer Service Representatives. The pay is $10 per hour. The schedule varies from 17-32 hours per week. CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 9AM-6PM, along with other hours during the week. Candidates who already have a full-time job Monday-Friday during normal business hours will not work for this position, since that usually doesn't allow for them to work other days during the week. The clients hours are 9am-6pm, the more flexibility candidates have with their schedule the better.

The position is partially outside, candidates must be comfortable working when the weather is not ideal!

Previous in-person customer service experience is a must, such as retail or restaurant experience.

Candidates must be able to pass a drug, credit & criminal screening!

If you know of anyone who might be interested in this position, please ask them to forward me their resume ASAP.

Send resumes to: [email protected]

Thanks,
Kim Hunt

If we have any recruiters on this site I would be willing to waive advertising fee if you can post up some decent jobs to help out some of IA

Its tough out there if i was unemployed i would be taking whatever i could find to pay my bills. getting behind or fucking up credit is a hard thing to dig yourself out of. I just want everyone to do their part - you don't have to vouch for someone but definitely post up for people to seize an opportunity.

I got laid off dec 2007 friday before i was to leave to go out of the country on vacation. I hit the internet hard and landed 2 job offers when I returned, but I am sure glad I am not looking now in 2009 ;)

Man the job market is shit now days. What I don't get is all these places are going out of business and laying people off thus making so many people have to draw unemployment.

I just don't see how it can get better with so many people drawing money from the government with no one to produce any profits from them sitting on their asses.

We need help passing out fliers. If anyone would like to help, please email your name and mailing address to [email protected] Promoters are assigned a number and are paid on commission, $2 for every flier that comes in with your number on it. Spectators bring in the fliers because of the $2 off admission coupon. Checks are mailed out within a week after the event. The program pays well if you get enough fliers out. There are successful, repeat promoters every year at every location. Here is what the fliers looks like...
