You will find that any review of these cars favors the M3 over the IS-F and C63.

You need a verbal spanking. If you drive a couple or all 4 hell now 5 with teh CTS-V (RS4/C63/M3) you will realize they are all par with one another and not one BLOWS the others away. It goes down to personal preferences. It also doesn't mean squat about "G's" and Slalom times since most of these cars are not tracked or driven hard.

On top of that you probably don't know (not your fault) that EVO rated teh IS-F with 5 stars, its highest rating and does put it slightly behind the M3 but they love both cars. Top Gear magazine said "all four are a tie but I would take the IS-F home, something draws me to it"

Considering the rest have TONS of motorsports involvement, factory support and decades of experience, should they NOT have a slight edge?

As for the IS-F better than the M3, tests show they are pretty evenly matched. Most reviews give the nod to the M3 and I have no issue with that. What you need to get through your ridiculously thick skull is the IS-F was
1. Not a planned Lexus product
2. Was a "skunkworkds product
3. Is the first of its kind from Lexus. In comparison BMW has been heavily involved in motorsport for decades
4. The IS-F is selling very well and we have some data saying BETTER than the M3.
5. The IS-F has proven Lexus can build a higher performance vehicle that is easily on par with the Germans.

If the Germans weren't so scared of it, they wouldn't have undercut the MSRP of the IS-F.

I am not here to say the IS-F is better than the GErmans. I am saying it is an AMAING effort by Yukihiko Yaguchi and his team and they should be commended, ESPECIALLY considering how staid and sedate Lexus can be (they are good at it though). In comparison "M" and "AMG" have been around 2 decades prior and have much more product, experience and support.

What Yaguchi has in the IS-F is simply amazing. "F" is everything you thought Lexus wasn't.

Both the M3, IS-F and everything else in this class is superb and I can't say one is better than the other since they are all evenly matched. Its about personal preference.

Any ADDITIONAL car for enthusiasts should be welcome with open arms no matter who makes it. Especially since Acura and Infiniti don't compete in this segment.

^Very well said. I would take an M3, but you can't deny the performance of the IS-F. It would definitely make no sense to say one car in that class really stands head and shoulders above another. I just want a manual tranny, and prefer the looks/interior of the M3. And the sound of them at redline is so nice......
