In the past year I have been living in my condo, 6 sets of rims were stolen.. My neighbor just got his rims jacked last night and I was talkin to the Atlanta PD and he told me that everyone that got their rims stolen from my complex all got their wheels from Butler Tire in Buckhead. hmmmm coincidence?
just remember to not give your address to anyone that works on your car.

And pay cash, don't give your address etc. If you do the one person that knows how to quickly disable your alarm knows where your car is parked every night.

Seriously. Insurance doesnt mean shit, its still going to be a major hassle and they usually try to find loopholes to get out of it.
So basically you are saying if you woke up one morning and went outside and your wheels were gone, your reaction would be "Ah, screw it, I got insurance."
I dont think so.

I mean I will be alittle pissed but then again happy due to I never pay full price for anything an my insurance company pays me Top Value of what the item, car, house if appraised at ....So either way I come up on top...
So yeah that is why I pay for GOOD insurance....
Why worrie an get piss over something is out of your controll?
buy insurance an don't worrie any more..Hell I own a Integra 98 year I drive it any where I don't care if something ever happens to it due I have insurance on it!!
Most people on here that their car got stolen an they are allll upset an pissed, crying etc is due to the fact they didnt have COMP or full covarge insurance!

That sucks. Just from my perspective, we have to have customers addresses in the case of an IRS audit. If you don't want to give it, we won't work on your car.

No matter what your insurance company is, good or bad, proper documentation is always needed before they will pay out for anything aftermarket. Shit becomes kinda of a hassle and I have experienced both sides of this. And most insurance companies pay out depreciated value too. So if you put a ton of time into your car, thats all out the window if it ever got stolen.

I have an uncle who used to work with Butler Tire and then he realized he loved what he does but he didn't like their business practices. Here is my suggestion, go to my uncles shop. He opened one up quite a number of years back and now his business is booming. I drive from Winder all the way to Johnson Ferry Road just because I know he is good people. I won't sit here and try to make an ad for his business but if you want to know where he's at, let me know. Like I said he's good and he left Butler for a very similar reason as this.
Sucks to hear it too.

I have been threw that many times, also I have owned about 2,345,956.99 cars and if I ever had a problem I was taken care of...Now maybe for yall or others but I am not worried about myself I am just speaking on my behave..
I also had a tree fall into my car and they fixed it, an bought me a new Carbon fiber hood full price which I got free, and JDM headlights which I got for 20 bucks, and new motor....They cut me a big O check in which I just parted out the car and made even more money....
I am just saying we are buying the cheapest insurance then cry when your car gets stolen?
come on now...I will buy the BEST insurance for a rainy day!
but thats just me, maybe its because I am sooo broke an don't have any money:thinking:

So if you put a ton of time into your car, thats all out the window if it ever got stolen. This is very true for most insurance policies. You can have a policy based on the "declared value" of your car. You just pay a premium on that declaration. That's what Dan did with his Supra once it had all of that money in it. We do that with any of our cars that get out of the price range we are willing to risk for a lower premium.

i don't really think the OP is complaining about insurance or what have you. i think his point was just that there's a particular butler tire who MIGHT have an employee that's going back and stealing customers' wheels.
you are absolutely right about the insurance. that still doesn't take away from the fact that having something stolen, wrecked, destroyed, etc. isn't inconvient (which is what gets annoying). i know when i had someone break into my car, i wasn't too worried about having my stuff replaced...just annoyed because i was on my way to class and had to spend the better part of an hour filing a report, missing my first class, and hitting traffic all because some fool felt he deserved my belongings more than me.

Here is why I am not suprised. I have been saying for YEARS that you do not pay w/ a CC at places like this - and if you DO, then have a different billing address than where your car sleeps at night. Fuckers keep thinking it's a joke and it won't happen to you...

Kauffman in Johns Creek added wheel locks for me as well...i dont think I paid anything for them. I think if you are spending certain amount on service they will throw that in if you ask.

Nitrogen is a waste of money honestly. Dealers charge like $10 a tire to fill them up. Its more cost worthy to just check your air pressure once a month or so. Or you can bring it by Discount Tire and we'll do it for free!!

Well because it's my uncle, it's actually less costly because I get deals. Plus, I've been taking my cars to him ever since I had a car. So not only is it family, it's loyalty.

That's fucked up! Someone there knows which wheel locks go on the cars and that makes it pretty easy for them to take the rims. They probably steal from the shop too.

may just be coincidence...i mean, would anyone want to steal bling bling rims that were bought from buford highway? most of the nice rims probably come from butler tire anyway.

its funny you say this because i have a g35 coupe at the shop right now that is a progressive claim. the wheels were stolen and he got them from butler tire in buckhead. he has also pulled the car from our shop and somehow butler tire is involved and is paying for the wheels or something of another.
