I'm curious if cost wasn't an issue what projectors would be the best as far as light output to do a retro with? Ive searched and searched but cant really find anything comparing or recommending "the best" projector.
I'm using projectors from an 05 BMW 5 series, they are bi-xenon and adaptive. The ones that turn with the front wheels. Cant seem to find any info on these either as far as mods and such that you can do for better light output. I don't have bulbs yet so I don't know what the light output is like yet.

One of the best is the Lexus LS430 projector. Some pics in action. Main issue is it is a very large projector and hard to fit in many of the smaller headlights.

Damn... thats great. Ive only got one of my headlights done so far. I might have to go with the LS projectors depending on how these are. My housings are plenty big enough too :goodjob:

Is the LS430 a bi-xenon projector?

Hoping 98strat will chime in again. Ive heard the TL is good but far from being the best choice.
I know for Imprezas, projectors from the TSX and S2000 seem to be the most popular.

Oh. Well from the picture it looks like I would be fine without high beams?

Why would you want HID for high beam? You cant flick them on, and it takes time for it to warm up every time you turn them on.
They make horrible hi beam bulbs IMO.

Not how bi-xenon projectors work. They have a flap or shield that drops out of the way for the high beam function.

Yep. The thing drops out of the way so fast when you hit the high beams its scary. Very loud also on some.
