Yeah he just had to keep it straight and at the right speed..

If he had fuel injection he could have powered out of that roll when he hit the ground.. he had a carbureted engine..

BUT think about it, you can't go flat out and hit it, you have to modulate the throttle all the right ways or you are doing more then one flip or too many...not to mention landing on 4 wheels.
