Not many cars hold their value worth a crap. Unless you have an OLD car, exotic, or something along those lines...

I would see if you could find one that someone is selling with low miles and see how much they are selling for. Does it come with a warranty from the dealership?

yeah i have been looking at other pricing. 03's are around 9k with 70k miles but no warranty(private seller) other dealerships are around 11-15k for around 50-60k miles so i guess its a good price for what it has.

I have a fully built dsm that isn't running right now, i can't figure it out. I've been looking on dsm forums and everything and nothing has helped me. I guess im just tired of old stuff, thats why im looking into making payments and getting rid of everything and sticking to ONE car for once.

yes it has a warranty and it might even be factory warranty. I didn't read the description but i saw the check in the box:goodjob:

EDIT: nice sig, its true lol

SRT's are "OK". THe price is a little higher than what I would pay for it, but it's somewhat fair.

I know a few things about DSM's and 4G63s in general. What's it doing?

Long story short:
Bought a dsm with a bent valve then went to the extreme and decided to fully build the motor.
(this is where i SHOULD HAVE bought a running car but didn't. But for 400$ it was decent)
Put the motor together, put it in the car, and had SO MUCH FUN hooking up the electricals and went to crank it and it just "clicked". Yes everything is grounded and everything i think is in the right place.
We can get it to turn over by connecting a wire from positive side of the battery to the starter but we can't get it to turn over by the key. We also checked to see if they fuel pump is turning on....but of course it didn't work so we're replacing that as of tomorrow..

but yea im stuck, fuck my life:cry:

if you want a more detailed explanation ask for my number. I really would appreciate some help:goodjob:

Yeah, I know. *looks at dsm sitting in the garage broken*

Did you check all the fuses and relays to the starter/ignition to see if they were all good? Are you on GADSM.org? oh, and VFAQ.com is your BEST friend when dealing with dsm's... If you do decide to sell your dsm, PM first. I am not sure why on God's green earth I would want another one, but I honestly wouldn't mind having two. lol. :dunno:

The SRT4 is a fun little car that responds well to mods. If you get one of the later year models you get a LSD and a little more HP. Even stock it is fun to drive. Getting traction in 1st and maybe 2nd gear on the street, when launching hard, is an issue. All in all for the money, it is great. If you decide to buy, make sure you have the car checked for any leaks and also have all the other components checked to make sure everything is working appropriately.

this may sound funny, but why don't you try bypassing the ignition switch and see if your fuel pump comes on, then to the start position....
maybe the switch is bad.

we already took it out and i have a talon sitting in the driveway as a parts car so im going to use that fuel pump. It works, i drove it over here. I've checked all the fuses, tried 2 different ecu's. im going crazy. i don't think the switch is bad because the starter still clicks(ONLY ONCE) and then nothing.

yeah i've also seen and heard 04s and 05's are in the shop more but i guess that depends how well kept your car is. I'll probably end up keeping the DSM just because it is cheaper...right now anyways lol
and its almost complete.

Its all in what you want anything below about 65mph I get no traction on a WOT pull. :lmfao:I love my car now that it is tuned ...I disliked it quite a bit more when it was half assed safc tuned the drivability was horriable imo.

i don't think i plan on pushing that much power out of it though lol
i still haven't gone to test drive it. Maybe tomorrow. Then i'll find a ms3 and see how that is.

03's have smaller injectors and less HP from the factory and they have no LSD so get an 04/05. you will need that LSD trust me. they go fast for really cheap and have great motors and are very reliable. i DD my black one for 8 months at 410whp and it never broke one and i beat the shit out of it. the motor can hold 600whp stock block. gear dependent boost from the factory helps with traction issues but once you up the factory boost level you loose gear dependent boost. can make 300whp and 350+wtq on stock turbo with about $1200 in mods. they handle like shit, the rear will slide out easly. buy coilovers and suspsenion mods ASAP

join and research...

03's didn't have lsd? 5th gear burnouts ftl. My buddies spins all the way both through 3rd when wet, and it has lsd and is mostly stock

nope no LSD in 03. he must be running more boost, mine is on factory boost right now and i have lots of traction, but once you dont allow the ECU to control boost anymore 1st is retard unless you understand you honestly dont have to push the gas pedal all the way to the floor

I know it has a DP with an exhaust cutout, CAI. I'm unsure if it is tuned or not.

It was great one day when I beat him when he just started spinning in second on a roll when it was raining.

even untuned with more boost you lose gear dependent boost

I had one for about 6 months......was a decent car in that time span. Fun as hell to drive but didnt have the best traction IMO. Not compared to my prelude atleast. That price seems a lil high, but if you are not tight on money and like it, I say go for it!! =)

A lot of that might be because of the rain... Most cars that are boosted are going to have a hard time catching traction in the rain... Heck, my awd has gotten sideways a few times and spun when it was wet...
