Hey last week i got someone to take out the d series and now have already put the b20b into the crx. However, there is a problem that has been encountered and he believes it could be wiring from dpfi to mpfi. The car starts when there is a starter fluid was used BUT only for a few seconds and then shuts off. And since he is going out of town on Friday (Jan. 2) and really has no ideas on what could of cause the car not to start I would like one of the EF squad members to help me out if possible and willing to drive up to my place (Not driveable since wouldnt start) and figure it out. There will be a fee on my side if have to.
As for the wiring parts he didnt cut any wires only splice it so it wouldnt really be a problem if anyone has to do the wiring over.
Here is the info about the car that i think will be handy:
-91 crx dx
-Motor : b20b
-Tranny:b17
-Intake Manifold: LS b18b1
-OBD1 LS ecu
-OBD2 LS distributor
-OBD0 to OBD1 ECU Conversion Harness from Rywire
Here is my contact number: 404 933 9926.

sounds like your not getting fuel if it starts with start fluid.Check to see if you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key.If your fuel pump is working then he might have did the injectors wrong. The way I checked mine was take them out while on the fuel rail disconnect the dizzy and turn the key for a second.Make sure u put the injectors against some cardboard. If your injectors are wired right then you should notice on the cardboard. Some fuel should be a even spray across.

I just had a car in the shop with the same problem, the first thing to do is check and see if fuel is getting to the engine, then check and see if fuel is comming out the injecters, it sounds like you have bad fuel injecters, another question is the check engine light on.....

yea I hear the fuel pump when i start the car. And i doubt its fuel pump because my car starts fine when i had th d series motor in. I not exactly sure if its the injectors because he said he tried replacing an obd0 injectors and then with obd2 injectors and still dosent work.

CHECK THE VACUM LINES ASWELL AS THE INJECTORS. SOMETIMES IT'S SOMETHING SIMPLE.

Alrite thxs alot man. U got a crx as well too?Check to see if the injectors are spraying it could be wiring that is keeping them from spraying.Doesnt have to be the injectors themselves could be wiring that isnt getting the signal to them.

I'm pretty sure he has checked everything. He knows his Honda's pretty well. I haven't talked to him lately so I don't know if he fixed it yet. He also is a workaholic so he doesn't work on it regularly

That's why i said if possible somone can come up to my place and check out what could be the problem. There will be a fee on my side if it has something to do with wirings and require the person to re-wire it.
