I purchased an 08 STI this week, so my beloved turbo S2000 is now on the market. I will attempt to sell the car as-is for a few weeks to see what sort of interest I get; if I don't sell soon, I'll begin parting the car out. Here are the specs:

Year: 2000
Mileage: ~91k
Color: Black on Silverstone
Title: Clean, no accidents

Maintenance performed in the last 10k miles include rear diff fluid, tranny fluid, and new rear tires. In the last 5k miles, the car has a received a new top with glass rear window, spark plugs, new brakes (rotors, pads, fluid flush), valve adjustment, valve cover gasket, spark plug seals, oil/filter. Recent compression tests returned 250/240/250/250.

Modifications:

Greddy Turbo Kit - installed 2k miles ago, running on base tune.
Koni adjustable shocks, Eibach springs - installed 10k miles ago
Okada coilpacks - installed 5k miles ago
ACT Streetlite clutch kit - installed 2k miles ago
Invidia v4 70mm exhaust - installed 3k miles ago
NRG Hood Dampers - installed 2k miles ago
AUT Cooling Plate - installed 2k miles ago
Replica front lip - installed 5k miles ago

I'll be selling the Enkei wheels separately and keeping the PLX gauges for install in the STI.

Mechanically, the car is very, very sound. The turbo kit is fantastic and runs pretty well on the base tune. If I were to keep the car, I would have it retuned, but it runs very well on the base tune. The ACT clutch kit buzzes, though it's tolerable. I have a slight 2nd to 3rd gear grind, which is fairly common as I'm sure you all know. Other than these minor issues, the car is great mechanically. I'd rate the mechanics of the car as good.

Now we get to the bad. The exterior of the car is far from perfect. The previous owner parked the car outside, so the paint isn't the cleanest. It has its fair share of dings, including two sizeable marks on the passenger side of the car. The paint is peeling off the front lip. I'd rate the exterior of the car as fair.

With the mods, I'm looking to get $13,500.

Nice deal for a great car. Thats a pretty big FMIC for the greddy kit though, is that the one they send?? Nice tune and a 3" single and she could put down 300whp.

Yes, standard intercooler included in the Greddy kit. It fills the bumper so nicely :)

No trades, trying to sell both my DD and this since I now have a comfortable, fast, and usable car.

These are all the images I have so far. There are more images in my Picassa album.

congrats on the STI also, Just Wondering,
whats the difference speed wise, handling etc. u would compare the s2k to the STI?

That's a really tough question to answer since they're such different cars. Also, I'm still breaking in the STI, so I haven't taken it over 4k RPM yet.

I can say the S2k is much more raw...the steering and throttle input is just so crisp and satisfying. The seating position is better and I just love the overall feel of the car, especially after the turbo install. The car is just incredibly fun to drive.

The STI is much more refined and the grip is just awesome. Before tonight I would have said my S2k feels quicker, but I flashed the STI to Stage 1 software and in S# mode, it is VERY quick. For the first time since I've owned the STI, it put a huge smile on my face.

Wheels are pending sale already. If it falls through, I'm asking $950 for them. They're 17x7, 17x8, 45mm offset, stock tire sizes. The wheels were refinished 2k miles ago, at which time brand new Sumitomo HTR ZIII's were installed.

I've decided it would be in my best interest to part the car. It sucks to spend the time on it, but if I want to maximize my return and theoretically sell the car faster, returning it stock is the way to go.

greddy kit is not junk. Tons of people prefer it over the sc kits. If I were to autocross, i would probably go with the greddy kit. Add just enough power to get you to vtec, but not too much to get the tires spinning too quickly.

Great kit and whomever got it got a hell of a deal
