The car in question is a 2009 Brilliant Black Audi S5. With under 30 miles on it the mods have already started. This is the perfect car to represent what TrendSettingMotorsLLC.com is all about. We are all about high profile luxury vehicle modifications but we can handle just about any project. Thanks to Jordan and his father Barry Riegelhaupt for entrusting me to their brand spankin new car!

Overall I think that these mods are perfect for the car. They make it very stealthy and the lines of the car are now more pronounced without that loud and un-matching grill as well as the badges being placed on the fenders and the rear. I can't wait to do more work on this car.

Before:

After:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday67.jpg

Here is what was done the other day:

-Gloss Black S-Line grill with Gloss Black Filler plate (Tony's project)
-Debadged rear S5 logo and debadged V8 logos on the side (Jordan's project)

Loosen the front wheel lugs while the car is still on the ground to make it easier when you jack up the car to remove the wheels:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday21.jpg

Then car jacked up so you can get the wheels off:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday12.jpg

Then remove the 4 Torx 25 screws on the top panel under the hood:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday15.jpg

After the screws are out there are 3 little metal push downs that you do just that, push down and the panel will pop off:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday17.jpg

What it looks like without the panel:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday19.jpg

Wheels off:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday24.jpg

Me removing the inner wheel liner to get to the bumper bolts. You need to remove the bottom Torx screws then pop off a few clips:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday27.jpg

You dont need to fully remove the wheel liner, just enough to pull it back some and get to the bolts. Here you can see 2 of the bolts (10mm) below the headlight holding the bumper on as well as two more under the area where the fender attaches to the bumper:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday30.jpg

Then there are some bolts underneath that need to be removed:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday33.jpg

Me repeating the process on the other side:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday36.jpg

There are 2 more Torx screws on the top (one on each side) that hold the bumper/grill in when it slides in, those also need to come out:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday37.jpg

Now its time to get the bumper off. Pull carefully to make sure nothing else is still holding it on. It takes some wiggling and some work, but it will come off pretty easily once you figure it out. Also you have to remove the airtemp sensor and disconnect the foglights before the bumper is free:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday40.jpg

SUCCESS! Tearing apart a brand new car:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday41.jpg

Taking a look at the back of the new Audi S-Line grill:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday43.jpg

Me starting to disassemble the grill from the bumper:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday45.jpg

I didnt take to many pictures of the grill removal because it is pretty self explanatory when looking at it. All the screws are very easily visable. Jordan started debadging the car at this point. However here is the new bumper/grill assembled:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday47.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday49.jpg

Here you can see the V8 removed, some of you may wonder why I decided to take them off. Personally I like a cleaner badgeless look. The V8 there looked a little tacky to me:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday50.jpg

Me getting the bumper back on and in place:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday53.jpg

Getting the wheels back on, passenger side all buttoned up:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday58.jpg

Rear fully debadged:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday60.jpg

Me finishing up the driver's side:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/12-23-08%20Audi%20S5%20Grill%20Install/s5grillday62.jpg

And now some finished shots of the days work (well only a couple hours worth of work, but you get the idea). I am very happy with the results, I think the gloss black looks SO much better than the gray plastic does on a Brilliant Black car:

oh, FYI, as you can tell, Tony takes care of the cars as if they're his. Detail, clean, precise, and super careful. I had no problem leaving my car with Tony for the month I went on Vacation.

Repped.

I was surprised and thought it would suck, but it came out banging! Any plans on the rear valance? And, I thought they were trying to sell that car?
