getting an LSD in my tranny? Any thoughts??

Will it make much of a difference to my car' handling/driving abilities?

I was talking to someone yesterday about my car, and he was telling me to not even worry too much about gettin more power until later on, but that i should put a limited slip in my tranny. He was telling me about how it'll make the car a totally different animal, and might actually turn it into a monster... I never thought of putting an LSD into my tranny as making a way of making a car feel/seem faster. Any thoughts?

I know already that some of the JDM trannies for my car come with lsd's in them already, but im talking about buying an aftermarket limited slip and getting it installed by a shop, not just swapping the trannies....

I drive a '90 Integra with a b18b swap btw... :2cents:It's not going to be faster. On street tires it's not really any quicker off the line at a drag strip either.

It excels in turns. Basically you're going from 1 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive. Autocrossing you'll light up the inside tire with an open diff trying to maneuver sharp turns, the same goes with mountain roads...especially on wet roads.

The car won't feel faster unless you have enough power that you are spinning the tire(s) in every gear.

The car just handles alot better like turns that you usually wouldnt try with open diff. with LSD,You wont think twice about it.Also the constant chirping is nice.

you dumbasses have no idea what you are talking about.... it DOES make the car much faster, and allows vtec to kick in sooner....not to mention the weight savings from switching to a LSD. gosh.
