I just bought a 1990 240sx hatch with a Ka24De swap. The guage cluster doesn't work, a few of the lights (like battery, seatbelt and brights) work, and i'm pretty sure that the temp gauge works, but the tach and speedometer dont. It is a DOHC cluster.I've already tried a different cluster and checked the wiring, the five wires that I believe are supposed to be ran into the dash are there. (Yellow/Red, Yellow/Green, Orange, Black, and Blue/Black). I don't know what else to check.
One night a few days ago i got int he car and the dash lights were on, which is weird for two reasons, they usually don't work and my lights weren't on yet. When i turned my lights on the dash lights went out.. turned my lights back off and they came back on. They don't do that anymore, just that one night, now they never come on. Don't know if this is relevant but it might be important.
Im new to 240's and pretty lost, any help would be great. Thanks
