i have got to have the worst luck. last night about 11:30 i was alseep and my phone went off cause one of my friends sent me a txt. well im in a hotel room in Louisville, Kentucky with my friend. we are working up here with his uncle. well anyways i was sleeping and my "friend" was awake as usual and he wakes me up saying dude your phone is going off so i get up and takee two steps trip on the carpet cause this fucking hotel is ragged as fuck, twist my ankle and slame into a table. anyways im laying on the floor and my "friend" was like whats all that about and im like i just fucked my ankle dude. anyways i lay there for about 5 minutes in a hell of a lot of pain. i finally manage to sit up after being curled in a fetile position holding my ankle. well i sit up and reach for my phone. some bs txt from another friend who i told i would be asleep and pls don't bother me. anyways i turn the light on to look and my ankle is about the size of a soft ball. anyways i crawl to the bed hoping maybe that the swelling would go down and it would not be to sore so i could work tomorrow. well i wake up at 5:30 this morning and this fucking thing hurts. its as big ass a baseball on one side and swelled pretty good on the other. i also fucked my knee up yesterday working. so now im sitting here in the room while my "friend" and his uncle are working cause i can't put any weight on it without wanting to scream in pain. well both of them seem to think i would be ok if i put two pair of sock on and my steel toed boots on. i was like r you joking? and his uncle is like its not broke your fine just hurry up and get ready lets go to work. im like i can't go. so anyways they are pissed at me now and i am stuck in louisville, kentucky. how fucking gay is that shit.

My friend did something similar (well, actually in a bar fight lol), and injured his ankle. It was swolen like yours. His turned out to be the lateral malleolus of his fibula (bottom of the smaller leg bone). The first hospital told him it was his ankle and gave him a walking cast. After a week of excrutiating pain, he went to another hospital and they realized it was the fibula, not the ankle, and ended up putting in titanium mesh and screws.
