would you rather someone explain there actions then not. i dont think one person did that shit the whole 8 years the bush administration was in office. if he doesn't explain his actions we cannot criticize and voice our opinions as a people. there for we are not doing our job as his boss.

Even if you don't agree, he is telling you what/why/how from the beginning!

If you can give me 2 GOOD fucking reasons why you voted for him, I might think different, but until then, I will NEVER.

You're a Dumbass

Blacks votes would have still been in the high number range without a black democrat candidate. If you look at previous voting precentage with blacks, you will see it has been rising since the 90's. So I don't understand how it comes as a surprise that more blacks have been coming out to vote. Just look at every ethnic group and you would see a rise in ppl coming out to vote. Of course their are going be ppl voting for the wrong reason.

But again You're A Dumbass

Why is everyone saying he is going to be a "GREAT" president?

What has he claimed he will do for the U.S.?

Nothing. All he ever said was "It is time for a change"

What the fuck does that mean? He didn't say anything about what he is going to do.

What, give the poor, the hopeless, the worthless money that the hard working citizen earned? Right, that makes the economy SO much better.

But, who is typically the lower class? Minorities. What is Obama? A minority.

I know there is a reaserch out there, I saw it on the news, I COULD find it again but not that bored that showed how many African Americans voted the last time vs. this time around. Did MOST of them Vote on Race? YES! Did ALL of them? No. But his politics suck...so what did they vote for?

where were you when the whole political section was "booming?" there's PLENTY of information out there for what he intends on doing. the only thing you're consistantly harping on is "black people voted for obama!" "he's going to steal the hardworking/rich people's money to give to the lower class...MINORITIES LIKE HIMSELF!" give me a break...i seriously doubt that you care, but you sound extremely ignorant. don't take that personal either...it just is what it is. i wouldn't be surprised if you fall into the tax bracket that will benefit from his plan. i guess that makes you poor, hopeless, and worthless too, right?

if you want facts... http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/when_did_blacks_start_voting_democratic.html

there...black people have been voting democrat since before your parent's were born...so there's nothing new. if color was such a big deal to the black people, then why didn't jesse jackson win everytime he ran? stop using that race shit as a crutch because your candidate lost. this election wasn't the FIRST mccain lost. if dude was oh so great then he would've won THE FIRST TIME HE RAN. let me guess...the mean ol' black folks hated him then too!?!

for you to not even know what sort of policies obama stands for, or has to offer...makes you seem just as uneducated as the black folks you're attempting to vilify. for the record...the point TIGERJC was making was that a vast majority of white folks voted for the man TOO...so like i said...lay the black man crutch down...it's a pretty old and tired argument.

What I am saying is, MOST of the people voted on the race, the others just didn't want another intelligent human being from the (R) in office again. So we will see the outcome of Obamas reign of terror in the office in the next few years and I bet you you will be displeased with what he does in there....IF no1 prevents him from getting there of course. :goodjob:

has the thought ever crossed your mind that he said all that shit to get stupid ass people to vote for him, just like 100% of all other polliticians. that sumbitch isnt gonna give a dime of his money to some fucking welfare mom in hoodville. Why? Cuz he doesnt give a flying fuck about welfare moms who are the cause of THEIR OWN problems. He IS NOT gonna pull out of Iraq. Why? he said so himself, and, he knows that to pull out immediately would be the END of that country, it would self-destruct.
Hes got all of the big anti-gunners appointed to all of the top positions just itching to take away our rights. Socialism is comming, its inevitable, just look around. intelligent human being from the republicans in office?

Politicians of both parties are intelligent, but neither have your intrests in mind.

wtf? did you see the last eight years? did you see what the fuck he did to our country.

I saw him rally the country after the worst terrorist attack we have ever face. I saw him push tax cuts that shortened the recession of the early 2000's.

What I did not see was headlines about him lying under oath. I did not see the US cower in fear every time we were attacked. I did not see the US back down on national security in favor of apeasing the UN.

he was off trying to find someone he hasnt even found yet

Have you been to Afghanistan? Have you even looked at pictures of the terrain? I didnt think so. I can tell you for a fact that the only way we find bin Laden is if we get lucky. Nothing more, nothing less.

and lying his way to do it.

You call it lying, I call it faulty intelligence. If you remember back that far, Bush was chastised in the media right after 9/11 because he didnt act with even lesser quality intelligence than he used to go into Iraq.

mccain would have done the same shit,

No he wouldnt. McCain is a democrat through and through. You only need to look at his positions to see this. This is also why he lost the election.

he showed no improvement from the last eight years.

What do you want to improve, and how would you improve it?

what obama has been trying to state from the get go is that this country needs to work together.

Obama cares nothing about getting the country to work together. In fact, most of his friends and mentors push an agenda of hate.

not fucking have people saying "fuck you, its mine not yours" to on another. were all a bunch of selfish bastards in this country its all about me me me.

If I earn it, why should I be forced to give it to someone else who was too lazy to work for it?

thats not what its supposed to be. everyone is supposed to have equal opportunity, equal rights, etc. thats not happening.

Give me one case where this is not happening.

this country has gone down hill immensely over the past eight years.

The economy has, but nothing else. Education started taking a shit long before Bush ever got in office.

we now have maybe a hope of it looking up,

I can hope I find a million dollar bill on my way to the crapper at halftime, but I'm willing to bet its not going to happen.

who know's. no one does. but id rather have a man who seams more level headed, can speak well and shows no stupidity from the get go then some idiot like you saw in mccain and bush.

He can speak very well when he has a teleprompter in front of him. He can barely get his name out without one though. What is level headed about him? The racist pastor? The friendship with a terrorist? Friendship with an anti-american muslim imam? The sweetheart mortgage deals?

RedGT, I am not arguing the ratings at all. I am one of the viewers (along w/ my family) who viewed maybe the first hour, then turned the channel. Lots of viewers tuned in, but lost interest.

People would have tuned in if it wasn't a recap of the last 12 months of B.S (all the drama). I was done watching 20min in, but my family discussed a little longer before turning.

New content is what they should have opted for, or at least kept the program at an hour.

People complain about people telling you things now? Geez. Its better to have an explanation of the road ahead than to just wing it. Does it matter, really? No one in here complained of under-explanations of the Bush Admin did they?

"...well why tha fuk are we asking for 700bil and have no idea where to spend it?" "Why tha fuk arent u telling the American folks their business?" Its our business to know because he is our leader and we are the people that hired him.

He's takin this job head on the proper way, as a man should. And letting all of our asses know what the future holds, whether they are just dreams or things that can be done. People work better when they know whats up and whos up to it instead of NOT trusting the government and its people.

So I congratulate Obama, he's doing things no other President can or will. He asks and responds and works with the people, for the people and with the people in mind. Not just him and his crew like past Presidents.

I AGREE! this should be the primary point of this ENTIRE thread.

on the other hand, everyone expects obama to be "mr. perfect" and he gets shunned for not being so. we've seen the same shit over and over and over again..."he hangs with terrorist...mortgage sweetheart deals...racist pastor....racist friends...criminal friends...etc." the thing is...WE'VE NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE PRESIDENT WHO DIDN'T HAVE ALL OF THOSE CONNECTIONS....NOT ONE! all of that shit is, and always has been OLD. the only new thing is the man is "black." now all of a sudden, "poor black ppl rallied for him, that's how he got elected!" what's ironic is, you see all sorts of discussions as to why black people make stuff "theirs." it's always an issue when it's something positive (BET being one), but let it be something "negative." lol, now it's ok for the black population to own that baby. so there's a president, who's black, who black people are proud of, but comes with loads of baggage (none more than any of the other 43 white presidents)...but he's the poor black man's problem/fault/doings/etc. these arguments are tired and useless...i can't stress that enough.

No one expects Obama to be perfect, but I dont think I am stretching all that far to expect someone of character. Obama most definately lacks that. I wont even go into the political system that Obama came up in because we have all seen the state of Chicago politics.

As far as blacks "owning" anything. IMO that is because of all the black victim groups such as the NAACP, and the black "leaders" such as Sharpton and Jackson. If it wasnt for people like these we would be much further along than we are. It seems like everytime there is a high profile issue involving both races, those 2 are VERY quick to jump on the racism bandwagon. The Duke Lacrosse team was a perfect example of this. Funny how Sharpton was quick to the camera demanding an apology after the comment from Don Imus, but he could never make time to get in front of a camera to apologize for HIS comments regarding those kids.
The Georgia education system is another example of blacks claiming to be victims. They have gone so far as to claim standardized testing is racist and designed to hold back blacks.

i understand what you're saying, but you're missing the big picture. first, if you disagree with obama and his policies, then that's completely understandable. there's not a single politician that exist whose policies/plans can suit the needs of EVERYONE. the point is, that has nothing to do with him being black, or black people rallying for him. <--- that is the issue i'm having with people. that's just a far too common argument coming from a lot of people (including a few in this thread and many others).

the duke lacrosse team, yeah it was a pretty fucked up situation. there are plenty of times where sharpton and jackson push things to the extreme, or take things out of context...but what about the situations where they don't? think about the michael bell situation....or the guy who was shot a ridiculous amount of times by cops in new york....or the guy who was sodomized by police in new york...the girl who was raped and forced to eat shit in DC (i think that's where it was)...the list goes on. it's difficult for the black community to put down sharpton and jackson for the negative things they do, because they also do A LOT OF POSITIVE, and none of us (black folks) never know when we might need them. racism is still alive and well in the country, that's something that neither you nor i can deny.

i believe tony made a point a long time ago stating that obama will have to do 10 times more than any other president to be accepted in this country, primarily due to the color of his skin. think about it...when has the election of ANY PRESIDENT in this country ever prompted a discussion him and his race OR even religion???

Its blatantly obvious and i have spoken to a few black friends of mine who voted for him and ASKED them if the fact that he was black was the deal maker. They all unanimously said YES.

Race was a MAJOR factor in this campaign and if you refuse to believe that then you are pretty ignorant. You cant deny the obvious.

And don't even give me some stats from CNN or FOX or the major news stations stating otherwise because everyone knows they're ALL rigged and biased one way or the other.

and to stephen^^^ : racism is all alive and well, yes, but the rediculous amount of racism FROM the BLACK community cannot be denied. The reason there is still so much racism( partially ) is because of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. every chance they get they pull out the race flag and try to say that such and such action was because of someones hatred for blacks. they CONTINUE the problem. have you noticed that they ONLY speak out about actions AGAINST blacks not committed BY blacks..... they are f**king stupid.

Several, but with that said, I know several that voted Hilary first (male/female) and many that voted for McCain.

The taboo about it is the excitement behind this election. Jesse didn't get the nod, and people swore to hell and back that he was the "black voice".

If the McCain supporters, that voted for him on race alone, stood up and were AS excited as the Obama supporters, we wouldnt be having this discussion. I am tired of people (as Stephen/Tiger said) of people putting the black vote in the toilet. The shit is not right. Race played a role on both sides HEAVILY. Jobs lost, prices up/down, deficit worsening, death tolls up, major companies failing. Obama did not have a major hand in the plague that he is about to embark on. alright...so i get the point(s) that some of you are making:

1. obama was only elected because of the poor black vote (i guess those people didn't exist when jesse jackson and al sharpton both ran for president).

2. al sharpton and jesse jackson represent the black community as a whole, and their mentalities are the reason racism still exist.

3. substandard schools (which are prominent in low income/minority communities) have nothing to do with poor education.

4. obama is a piece of shit because he ran and was elected president.

5. ONLY white people voted for mccain (or anyone else other than obama), and they represent the educated and wealthy masses of society.

i'm sure there's a few other points i'm missing.

The black vote didnt win the elction for him but the black vote did make the results more lopsided. A couple of historicly red states went blue by less than the number of newly registered black voters. I believe Indiana and Virginia were 2 of them.

the duke lacrosse team, yeah it was a pretty fucked up situation. there are plenty of times where sharpton and jackson push things to the extreme, or take things out of context...but what about the situations where they don't?

I would have MUCH less of an issue with them opening their mouths if they were just as quick with an apology when they are proven wrong as they are with an accusation.

think about the michael bell situation....or the guy who was shot a ridiculous amount of times by cops in new york....or the guy who was sodomized by police in new york...the girl who was raped and forced to eat shit in DC (i think that's where it was)...the list goes on.

What about Reginald Denny or the other guy that was pulled out of his car and nearly beaten to death during the LA riots? You can also admit to the fact that we rarely, if ever, hear about the racially motivated beatings and such that whites are not the aggressors.

it's difficult for the black community to put down sharpton and jackson for the negative things they do, because they also do A LOT OF POSITIVE, and none of us (black folks) never know when we might need them.

Name 1 time where either of them have gone in and calmed down a situation. Where they have gone in and told everyone to not act on emotion and simply let our justice system work. Where they have ever called out the black person for their part in the situation.

racism is still alive and well in the country, that's something that neither you nor i can deny.

I agree their are still racists of all races out there. I dont agree that racism is holding anyone back from accomplishing anything they want to accomplish.

i believe tony made a point a long time ago stating that obama will have to do 10 times more than any other president to be accepted in this country, primarily due to the color of his skin. think about it...when has the election of ANY PRESIDENT in this country ever prompted a discussion him and his race OR even religion???

1960 had an election that had plenty of religious undertones. Kennedy was a Catholic, and to date, the only Catholic to be elected President.

As far as race goes, we have never had a legitimate canidate of any other race before so of course race will be mentioned alot more.

Obama will have to work 10x harder than anyone other president. The same could be said of any other first. It is simple human nature to not trust something that has never been done before.

you made a statement earlier about how bush rallied the country together after 9/11. i'm sorry, but i can't accept that statement. THE PEOPLE rallied together after 9/11...not just one man. i do praise him for going after those who wanted to kill us...but he's not the reason the country rallied together.

I didnt make that comment but I do agree. On the other hand, he is the face of this country until Jan 20. He said the right things at the right times. He was steadfast in pushing an agenda that made this country safer.

i feel that obama played a major role to rally the country together in electing a man regardless of the color of his skin. regardless of all of the shots the mccain camp took against obama, he still kept his plan and the people FIRST...that's character.

Obama simply played on emotions. The economy is going to the crapper so he designed his campaign around that. Gas prices were high so he told us to inflate our tires. Iraq is unpopular so he said we were losing and he would get us out. He did absolutely nothing special and benefitted greatly from being black. Bush actually got more flack from Scooter Libby than Obama did for his friendship with terrorists, racists, and devout anti-americans.

As far as his people first plan, thats a crock. Just like ANY politician, its relection first. If it happens to help someone thats fine and dandy. If it doesnt help anyone, or puts them in a worse situation, thats fine too if he/she gets re-elected. Obama is no different. Obama has as much character as any other politician, including Nixon.

3. substandard schools (which are prominent in low income/minority communities) have nothing to do with poor education.

Poor education comes from poor schools, that is a fact. You also need to look at the drop out rates though and see that poor students make up AT LEAST as much of the equation. I dont care what the quality of the school is, if you are willing to do the work then you will get the education. The quality of the eucation and the quality of the effort paralell one another, I dont care how crappy the school is. Plain and simply, the quality of the school may keep you out of Yale, but it wont keep you out of college.

4. obama is a piece of shit because he ran and was elected president.

Obama is a POS because of the people he associates with and mentors. Regardless of race, if he was a republican he wouldnt have even been close to winning the election, if he was white, he wouldnt have ven made the ticket in the primaries.
