ok, so since jon has been gone, i have worked on more cars in the last week than i have in my whole life...radiator replaces, suspension replacement, tires installed, one car i don't know whats wrong with bc i havent had a change to look at it yet...

the latest: mario was driving his teg from work around 4pm, though he slung a rod, cut off his car and coasted from manchester to airport( interstate)....i get there, ac tensioner broke and was being tossed around. chipped the tensior and crankshaft pully. i replaced the belts with hope it would start but nothing.....

got it to a safe place where i can work on it some more, and decided to check the timing bc i recently worked on a green teg with jon that had a similar problem. guess what!!!! timing was off by 3 teeth...jeeze called the tow truck and took it to my house where i could do some more work.
worked on it at my house around 12am, took the crankshaft pully off and all i can say is wow. . the ac and alternator belt got caught up in the crankshaft pully, rubbed through the lower timing belt cover, and got under the timing belt where the oil pump sprocket was. day keeps getting better and better.

reset everything, my bro got home around 245am and was helping(greatly appreciated!) set timing, and prayed...cranked the car but guess freaking what....bent valves.....we therefore called it a night.

mario since 11am this morning from hearing the news has found a replacement head for me to swap for him..who knows when it will be done and let pray that the p30 pistons arent screwed up....

i heard he said it was making 600whp on stock sleeves but if thats the case his sleeves would have been in his lap after one good pull

i know it was tunned on 8 psi and got 390..the rumor that no one knows is the guy who jacob traded with a few months ago claims it made 500 on 20psi.

Right now I'm in the 360th Squadron, some of the newest dorms on base. I'm a crew chief (HUUAAAHH!!!!) for the B-52. There's lots of cars here but not really much to do.

I was at Barksdale from 96-98, lol. Yeah showing my age a little, but it was all good. Downtown Shreveport is okay, they have casino's on the river and a few alright clubs. Plus you'll be just 2 hours from Dallas. You'll be alright man.

Globemasters are a nice plane to jump out of from what I'm told. They're nice to work on as well, instead of having the "integrated" concept from the 50s and 60s era - they use the more modern "modular" technology from the late 80s when the Raptor was designed. :goodjob:

i would much rather be sitting in class again listening to my dumb teachers talk about nothing while i sit in nice comfortable AC, while being able to drink a pepsi and eat some chips(just bc my teacher didn't care).

instead im working in the heat on a stupid integra after working two jobs during the day...so yes. i would see it to be a luxury to sit in a classroom for 3 hours. lol.

and update on the integra! i got everything done tonight, finally....cranked it up and only have one problem, it jumps from 1500rpm to 3500rpm. after calling paul then jon, came to the conclusion the intake manifold isn't tight enough, but it won't tighten anymore, a few of the bolts won't stop turning, but the won't snap off like they are broke(prob stripped). im gonna continue working on it tom. :yes: im just glad it cranked up and no leaks!!!! so far....... lol

James- throttle body is good, but thats also where paul suggested lookin first. The problem only started when i put the head on so itcan only be a few things. Ex- intake manifold not beong tight enough or a disconnected hose.

Very true - 11 miles for an 8th of the tank is not normal, even in heavy traffic.

It's like a V8, except slower.

[rant] I would love to be in a/c, I really would. I know how it feels because I have it where I reside, LOL. Other than that, my office over here on Ft. Benning doesn't have it and I definitely do not have it when I am outside doing my tasked duties. But, yeah, I can't stand to see someone whining about having a LUXURY like a/c. I will soon be in Iraq where a/c I am sure will be something I wished I had......[/stop rant]

Its good man... They definitely needed some help around here. 4 KingAirC90Gti's (all green) that are due to be completed September sometime and bound for Osaka. I'm installing some avionics in the four of them.

My car is slow and it has holes in the radiator and is right now running like ass. But I chose to build my civic and say hey I have a 11 sec sohc civic at the time and it cost maybe a 1/4 of what it would take to build ether a cobra/supra/evo. I did it beacause i wanted something different. And I put money away into savings and other stuff. I have respect for Muscle, I have to its in my family. My dad has a street legal chevy monza that does 8.98 in the 1/4mile.And he daily drives a honda with NOS!:screwy: Im getting off subject here. Im just saying. As far as real cars anything tht is title/tagged is a real car in real terms. As far as being NUmber 1 in Columbus with the fastest whatever.. You can have it. I rather sit here and say I spent 500 dollars on a 91 shell civc, and put 5k into and had an 11 sec SOHC car/that was street legal and getting 30 miles to the gallon;). The car has run 10's and 11's, when I had it on meth. Yeah Paul, I told him you pointed him out as we came towards each other. He thought we were scoping out his car or something. The blue coupe is a nice color, from the 12 seconds I saw of it, but I was too busy staring S Dbl C down to even see the color, just kidding.

Also, Paul and a few other people know what the Evo is capable of. Like I said, she's slow as hell, but some former passengers can vouch for her on here. Although, Paul and I are going to slap some valve springs on that beotch when I get back from Cali.....maybe. We also have to pull my front end off, take the radiator out, check my a/c and see where that blew out of and repair that, whether it be a line or the condensor and then tig my radiator (fuse or fill it, not sure what it needs). That will be it for me for a while though, as you know I will be taking a trip to combat terrorism. She will sit and collect dust!!! I will have Paul shake the webs off it occasionally, if he's lucky.

well with how much gas the teggy has been drinking i wouldn't doubt it. the motor problems keep getting worse everytime i fix one. just small things like new oil leaks, worse gas mileage, ect....
this motor the andrew(byt) put together SUCKS. they screwed alot up on this car and sometimes i jsut get few up with it.
