GTA IV New Downloadable Content Relase Date Announced

Looks like they are finally putting out the new downloadable addition to GTA 4, will be all new characters, weapons, cars, etc all in the same city. Basically a whole new game that spins off the original storyline we all already beat

Does that mean new physics and blood when I shoot someone with a shotgun point blank? God I hope so. Fuck the storyline I just want senseless killing and violence. Keep the blood on the cars though, thats a nice touch.

They may have new cities eventually, but this one will take place in Liberty city which I am glad because I know the city now...lol, But one thing I hope is when you download and start this one you dont loose your saved cars, money, etc with the new characters and story line.

I see it this way, 360 had to wait for the last 2 GTA's for a year after it was released on Sont due to contracts with Sony, so now its Playstation peoples turn to wait!! hahahaha

I would have bought the game for my PS3 if the content would have been made available. The only one smiling here is Microsoft since i didn't add to my PS3 games.

Rockstar has enough money to not need this extra boost since GTA4 did so insanely well on release. I stand with the opinion the ps3 is a much better system. I played my damn ps2 more than i did my 360.

I do agree that PS3 has more potential (obviously better hardware), but I just think as a pure gaming system, the 360 takes it. And as for playing your PS2 more than your 360, that's just silly. Although then again, I know you're huge on racing simulators. And since Grand Tourismo is arguably the best in the market, I could see where you'd give Sony the edge.

I'd still give it a couple of years though before you see any noticeable difference between the 360 and the PS3 as far as graphics are concerned.


But anyways, back to the topic at hand. I don't think Rockstar is going to lose any sleep over the slight boost in profit they'd lose for not releasing it to PS3. And if they do, they will release it a later date and still make money off of it (if they aren't planning on doing it already). Like, Brett said, they released the previous GTA games later to XBOX, and people still bought the hell out of them.

just watched the trailer looks like fun guess i have to wait for it to be released for ps3 or alteast give us the chinatown wars game sheesh vice city and liberty city stories were fun games i need a new gta fix and i have no xbox boooo

hmmmm... trailer says download exclusively on Xbox live... Doubt they will port it over to the PS3. DAMN IT.

Damn I love gta iv, just hate that it was too short. I will not purchase a xbox just to get this game as the xbox is a old system and I am a sony fanboy

i love sony fan boys... problem again comes down to support and $$$. Xbox owns in the game market yet again. But we have blu-ray :jerkit:; keep it xbox fans are more about gaming thats why we are getting special releases.
