I cannot possibly fathom a jury that would not give him the death penalty unless they lied during the initial interviews when asked if they would be able to sentence him to death.

He deserves old west style justice. As soon as the jury came back with the guilty vertict they should have walked him out to the courtyard and hanged him.

I figured as much.

I like my idea of a death penalty jury. A group of lawyers whose job it is to read over guilty verdict trials in their respective states. If no legal mistakes have been made, they decide if the case meets all requirements for death. If it does meet the requirements and no legal mistakes have been made by the Jugde, the prosecuter or the defense then they come back with a death sentence. No appeals, no 30 years of stalling. Sentence is carried out within 3 years of verdict.
