so as some of you know i totaled the cobalt. so now im am in the hard task for car shoping with an 18 or 17k budget. right now my three main choices are

2002-2004 bmw 540i mostly performance also but with a vip theme

What exactly do yo want? Tell us what you want in a car and we can recommend something.

I've heard that the SRT-4s have issues with stupid stuff - dont know first hand.
540s are nice cars. My uncle has one and it runs well with little trouble.

I'm not a big fan of GTOs. They cool, but HEAVY as hell and the gas mileage is bad - worse than my vette - ~15-16.
