Point made, and there is a gift reciept. My mom won it at her company's xmas party, if you care how I got it. Technically its not even mine, shes just letting me sell it b/c we already have one. And actually, 399 won't get you a warranty on a ps3 from the stores. Its extra.

You still have the 1 year manufactured warrenty with the gift reciept. And if something is wrong with it within those 90 days the store will exchange it for a new one....From what i've heard.

This system doesnt play the ps2 games?I have a ps3 40gb but the only reason I wanted the ps3 80gb is cause I thought it played ps2 games as well and I wanted more storage but oh well. Thanks anyway

Some of the 80gb are Backward Compatibable meaning you can play ps2 games.20gb and 60gb are Backward Compatibable. The new 80gb in stores now are not. Here is a link to see if your ps3 is Backward Compatibility or not.:goodjob:

yea the older 80gb were backward compatible. but the newer 80 and 160gb are not. I have heard that the 60gb had some problems with the blue ray drives going out as well.

Thanks for that link dude. That really explains all.

The serial number on the unit is CECHK01. So this one does not have Backward Compatibility. But if you notice, none of the 3 units that are, aren't even in production.
