How tall are you now, what do you weigh now, also knowing your age would help

Stay away from sodas, candy and other forms of junkfood. Smoothies, different types of juices and granola bars are some things you'd want to consume.

hmm, i've actually lost 57lbs about this time last year. i've gained 38 of those pounds back from being lazy. hhahaaa. I've ate every morning a bowl of cereal w/ skim milk. for lunch i made sandwiches, healthiest meat i could eat within reason. and the same for dinner. and each day around an hour of excercise. i did lose weight quickly. i've lost all that within 3 1/2 to 4 months. i need to get back on that program soon. but i did feel hungry alot, i think that was more of a diet than i needed, but it worked.

I'm pretty big into personal health and fitness and I'd say cut out soda completely, as well as candy, snacks, chips, chocolate.
I'd also eat mainly a high protein/low carb diet eating about 150 grams of protein daily.
I'd also stop smoking if you do, and also cut out fruit juices too. One would think OJ is good for you, but it is loaded with sugar.
Start working out and doing cardio regularly.
So I'd pretty much stick to drinking only water, eat fruit, eat veggies, no carbs, and eat lean meat such as fish, skinless boneless chicken breast is good, and turkey, sometimes ham....but ham is bad for the salt/fat in it...
If you do this for 6 months I promise you you would be down to my weight. I'm 21, 6'2, 185 lbs, 10& body fat, trying to get down to 8 %, but it's hard because I LOVE FOOD!!!! LOL
But there is also a right/wrong way to work out and you need to figure out what works for you.
I used to be chubby and unhealthy, and trust me, it feels great when all that hard work pays off and your body looks/feels so much better/stronger. And the ladies def notice ya more...:goodjob: I know train mma/yoga/gymnastics when I have the chance and I love it, it's great taking your body to higher and higher peaks of performance

ive lost 20 lbs in about a month doing nothing but Atkins diet. Basically not carbs, just meat.
Id eat chicken breast for lunch and dinner with some green beans.
Maybe some turkey bacon for Breakfast.
Every other day id have a flank steak or ribeye.
YOu CAN eat fast food just no breads. So occasionally id get a doulbe hamburger no bun from Mceedees or Wendys.
I started running 2 -3 times a week too

I actually made a thread like this about a month ago. NissanTun3r helped alot. I'd listen to him on this. I've lost right at 14lbs in the last month. My goal was about 18 - 20lbs so I'm pretty damn close and faster than I thought it would be.

Yep this is good advice it's all about self discipline. If you can stay on track you will have no problem reaching your goal. Good luck man

Nah, I wear XL now. I am cool with that, but I want to be in better shape. Having a mini beer gut is not sexy to all the ladies :D
I am no where near ripped, never was, but all my extra weight is in my gut. Too many Taco Bell runs in college will get to ya

oh yeah i heard that!
iono bruh... i think you're cool for your size. You're taller than me so an XL is more than enough. i guess toning is all you'd have to do. but dont be too ashamed of your mini beer belly. some ladies like to have something to hold on to! :D
well the grown ones that is.
dont tell that to some 22 year old fresh outta college. :headslap:
but its the grown ones that count! :yumyum:

My biggest sin was sweet tea. I don't drink any soda, never have, and I never ate any junk food. Ocassionally I'd have fast-food, but other than that I ate alot of Ramen noodles. So I cut the Noodles back and just about fully cut sweet tea off. Sucks but its worth it when people ask if you've been working out or tell you that your looking better.

I used sweet Tea to get me off the soda, lol.....fucking sad
I drink water for 5 hours while at work. The vending machine that is downstairs has crap for a selection, so it has turned out to be a good thing.
What the hell is an alternative to Soda and Sweet Tea :???:

Listen Fuck diets... Fuck gyms.. fuck all that shit..
I was haing major weight issues for the past 3 to 4 years.. I gained about 50 lbs in 3 years.. totally fuked..
I went to Gyms, diets.. Sometimes that shit dont work depending on your lifestyle...
1st You have to look at what kinda of lifestyle you are living..From the kind of work you do and if you go to school..
Basiclly what activities are involved..
In august of this year I was close to 260 lbs.
Since SEP 1st I have lost almost 30lbs.
Im @ 235.. still want to loose about 30 more..
All I did was ELIMINATE SODA 100%, Cut sugars... a little sugar is not to bad.. just watch it..
And instead of eating 3... eat 2 or 1...
ALl you have to do is smart and smaller quantaties... I was going to the gym for a bit but I was running out of time during the day and was still eating to much..
Eat smart.. more fruits.. water.....
Yeah, you go on a diet.. then stop after you reached your goals.. but after that.. you can very easy gain t back.. exercise, you get hungry after work out and then eat... a big ol steak.. and say, "OH I CAN BURN THIS OFF TOMORROW "
If you are not used to going to the gym.. that wont work.
Is all about eating habits.
Sometimes is also better to eat smaller portions during the day instead of Bigger portions all at once..

Yea i heard eating 4 smaller meals a day is better than 2 larger ones and such. It basically keeps your metabolism up. Im trying to start a new "smarter" eating habit. Im gonna try oatmeal or fruit in the morning for breakfast, a little snack like a sandwich before lunch, then chicken breast for lunch and prob something similar for dinner. ive also gotta quit smoking and start doing some cardio. Hopefully this will put me where i want to be.

I just started working out again, it's a good feeling. I need to quit smoking too. I'm still in decent shape, and can run for a long time, but I've been told nicotine slows down muscle development. I hate being sore every other day now though lol shit's annoying.

start off slowly so your body won't crave as much. i started off with soda then i got use to not drinking it. helps alot. but i lost 45lbs by eating alot... yes alot. but i scattered my eating throughout the day. so im never really hungry and my metabolism is always on blast
