mine has been on for at least 2 if not 3 years...no rust yet. it's not bling polished stainless, but i wanted something a little more subtle (little flat black spray on the tip).

Grand Muffler in Marietta mandrel bends, and does custom piping for exhaust of I/C. They did a great job on the one they did for us.
Xrated O.G.
12-26-2008, 01:30 PM
^^^ Grand Muffler has been doing custom fab piping for many many moons. I've had several cars up there done by Buster and the boys. Even though Buster doesn't own the business anymore their quality of work has never dropped off one bit.

Batlground Fabricates – from intercooler pipes to exhaust to roll cages. You can find tons of pics in our gallery. www.batlground.com/gallery

12-30-2008, 03:52 PM
LOL We also Fabricate!
You think the name would say it all AutoFAB.... "FAB" as in Fabrication!!!:goodjob:
Well i was referring to IA Sponsors. Mainstream is prob the only Sponsor that regularly fabricates exhausts and other stuff.
Batlground can also do it as Brandon does an excellent job (dan does to but thats obvious) .
In terms of volume though i know mainstream does more.
48 miles isnt far
Oh and Grand Muffler is no more, they are something else now, they were sold or bought out

Everyone makes exhaust, just pick your spot. If mileage is a concern then go with whoever is close. Its obvious most shops here fab, and do it well, if not they would not be around.

if you take it to mainstream you could get the exhuast done and tuned on the same day.

I would give first look to the IA Sponsors as others have suggested.
Aside from the ones listed, I think Mahdavi also does this sort of work, and I would put them on the list of places to contact.
I have seen their work as they have worked on my cars, so they get a thumbs up from me. Additionally, I have seen the work of Mainstream and BATLgroud, and can give them both a positive report (MY opinion). I have not see the work of some of the other shops mentioned, but have heard good things.
ive seen mainstreams work. ive been to mainstream. ive head of mainstream. You might wanna check out this place..called..dang ummmmm...oh MAINSTREAM!!!!

we have a tig welder also, most shops wont tig exhaust unless you ask for it, as it usually takes longer, and therefore usually making price go up.

You are right. "Grand Muffler" is no more. Buster sold out to someone else who stayed at that location under a new name. The facility itself is still up and running under new ownership. Buster has built a complete facility at his home and is still knocking out some of the best work ever done.
Shi-Peng just quit whining about how far and the GSP catching you and just take it to any of the above mentioned shops. All of them can get you what you want done.
On a side note if you take it up to BG just dont let Moby (aka Dan) catch you staring at Tracy's ass. He's super sensitive about her good looks.

im curious as to why people care about tig vs mig on an exhaust? Its a dirty nasty metal exhaust. I know i don't care, now the underhood things like manifolds, piping, and down pipes are going to be tig'd in anything of mine.
Main Stream did my 4" exhaust and its nice as hell. :)
