i was wondering how hard it would be to convert my 84 ae86 sr5 into a gts and what all would i need to do the conversion. and around how much money would it be to do it?

alot. you would need the motor, rear end, ecu, wiring harness, full interior, rear disc conversion, and im not sure if the tranny is the same for both, but i think so

most people call this a gtsr5 conversion. it will best if you can find a wrecked gts somewhere and transfer all the parts to your sr5. or better yet sell your sr5 and get a gt-s :goodjob:

Yeah, sell your sr5 and just buy a Gts. Alot easier.

It's alot of work and pretty costly unless you have a wrecked donor gts or something. I've done it a few times. I took the easy way out on my coupe. I picked up a 4age and some individual bike carbs and stayed carbed. Just had to fab up a manifold, get a low pressure electric pump, a FPR, and rejet the carbs. It took a little bit of time tweaking the carbs and playing with the fuel pressure to get the mixture right, but still way easier and less time-consuming than F/I conversion.
